On Saturday, Greenland 🇬🇱 played their first match against a senior men's national team since 2013! 😲 They made a 3 flight journey, taking 8 hours to Antalya in Turkey to play Turkmenistan 🇹🇲

Turkmenistan won 5-0 but the game was 0-0 at half time and Greenland held their own for a decent amount of time.

What a moment for the side! Its only taken 11 years.

The top photo is the Tasiilaq Stadion which has stunning views in the background! 😍

The bottom photo is the Qeqertarsuaq stadium which has pretty incredible views as well! Not the sort youd see every week! 🧊

In total, Greenland look to have 8 official stadiums with many having stunning views!
Nuuk Stadium is the main ground. 🏟

Incredibly, the Greenlandic football championship is ONE WEEK long and runs throughout August.

One group of 6 teams.

In 2023, the league kicked off on 10th August and the final was on 15th August. There was an incredible 123 goals!
The final was won by B-67 Nuuk 5-0

I bet loads of groundhoppers would love a bit of this when it rolls around again in August! 😂
