Owner Spotlight: Meet Kristen
Today marks one year since Kristen began her journey to prep for her bodybuilding show. In 32 weeks of hard work, she shed over 70 pounds, transforming both inside and out. Here’s a message from Kristen herself:
“As a mom of three, I was often told, ‘Good luck getting your old body back.’ It was discouraging and made me wonder why people say such things to moms. When did society become so negative? I’m here to tell you to ignore the doubters. I may never have my old body back, but I’m building a new, better one. Loose skin and stretch marks? They’re my story. But I have something now that I never had before: confidence, compassion, more muscle, and a strong hourglass shape.
From day one, my goal was to empower and encourage others. I could have placed last in my competition, and it wouldn’t have mattered because I know how many lives I touched through my journey. And it hasn’t stopped just because the weight loss did. Now, 16 weeks post-show, I’m in a growth phase, focused on building muscle where the judges recommended.
The best part of this entire journey has been the support from the Foxx Fitness community. On my high days and low days, I always knew I could lean on anyone working out here. When I struggled to push through cardio or stick to my meals, my Foxx fam was there, reminding me that I can do hard things. That’s what Foxx Fitness is all about: a place where everyone wants to see each other succeed. Here, it’s not about who has the biggest muscles or who’s the skinniest. It’s about lifting each other up, no matter the size or goal.”
