I hope everyone has had a cool day inside today! Just to recap, we will be having our two last make up sessions this week Wednesday (July 29th) from 7-8:30, and next week Wednesday, (August 5th) from 7-8:30. Also, we will be having an end of the summer celebration as a thank you to everyone who has made this summer an awesome summer of tennis! This will happen sometime in early September for all Deforest Tennis Association students! I will be updating you all to that date later. Thank you all again!

Hello everyone, due to the excessive heat warning we will be cancelling afternoon lessons for today. With the heat index already between 104-105, it will get worse as the day goes on. Sorry again for this, this summer has definetly been a hot one.

Reminder that we will have our makeup session for session 2 on Wednesday night from 7-8:30. Middle school, JV and Varsity are invited to come!

We will see everyone tomorrow for lessons!

Hello everyone! We will be having make up sessions for Session 2 on Wednesday, July 22 from 7-8:30 PM and Wednesday, July 29th from 7-8:30 PM. We will be combining groups for middle school, JV and Competitive Varsity classes. These will not be high intensity drills, but competitive games and match play. Hope to see your child there and looking forward to a much nicer week of tennis!

Hello again everyone. Due to the air quality, we will not be holding tennis drills today. I am so sorry about this, but we have to be looking out for our safety today. Please stay indoors today as the air quality is nearly 300 today. We’ll be back and ready to go Monday with cooler weather we hope!! Thank you everyone and have a great weekend!

Hello everyone, right now the air quality is not very good due to the wildfires up north. I will be monitoring the conditions and making a call around noon to see if tennis lessons will continue today. It is supposed to improve as the day goes on, but I don't know if they will be good enough. Right now we are in the 'very unhealthy' range. Thank you so much everyone for your patience with this, it has definitely been an interesting summer with weather!

Hello everyone, due to the heat advisory and air quaility for today (7/15), we have decided to cancel lessons today for the safety of the students and staff. This afternoon heat indexes will be potentially up to 103, and on the court that can get worse. Even with frequent breaks, I beleive we wouldn't be able to get a lot of good tennis in. Sorry for that everyone!

We will still be holding our high intensity drills tonight though from 7-8:30. Please sign up at the link below if you have not already for some fun tennis tonight!!

At this stage, players try to maintain the skills learned from the green ball, and work towards becoming proficient technically and tactically in both singles and doubles.

-Nielsen is having a USTA tournament this Sunday the 19th. Sign up is due by Wednesday at 5:00 PM for the 12s, 16s and 18s division. Here is a link to sign up:

Just a reminder today and tomorrow to make sure we bring LOTS of water, gatorade and sunscreen to lessons today. If the heat index gets above 100, we will be cancelling drills. We will be monitoring the weather frequently today. Thank you for your understanding!
