A strength class intentionally and professionally designed to develop and condition the body to optimally function in every aspect of life.

Owned by a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a MS in Exercise science, our facility understands the importance of performance. As current students and future Doctors it is critical to prepare yourselves to perform. This class will set you up for long term success, expose you to exercise selection you can implement into you own training regimen, and instill healthy lifestyle habits.

Our mission is as said above!

We aim to impact as many lives as possible from the youth athletes to the grandparents we train and everyone in between. We are creating a culture and community of sharpened individuals that go out and sharpen others.

It is more than a gym. It is more than training or working out. It is more than sets and reps. Itā€™s about changing lives and empowering individuals to be the best version of themselves on the good and bad days.

A couple more specialty bars we pulled from our collection at Sharper Edge!

Safety Squat Bar (SSB)
Weight: 61lbs

This bar is amazing! The design is meant to build the posterior chain from upper back to lower back. It forces you to stay upright while wanting to pull you forward. Keeps your shoulders in a natural position. Great bar for anyone with an upper body injury or shoulder impingements that prevent them from putting a barbell on their back. Great bar for anyone who want to build a strong back!

Competition Squat Bar
Weight: 55lbs

The competition squat bar has a thicker diameter than a regular power bar so there is no whip in the bar when you unrack with heavier loads. This bar provides a wider center knurling so it feels like it is glued to your back. If you compete using a squat bar, this is the bar to train with!

Kabuki Duffalo Bar
Weight: 55lbs

Probably one of my top two favorite bars of our collection! This bar reduces stress on the shoulders, biceps, elbows, and back all while creating more stability in the upper back. You can also use this bar for bench press to train in a greater of motion.

Itā€™s good to mix in different barbells into your training. Stick with them for a mesocycle (4-6weeks) and watch them build your strength to higher heights!

Low Handle Trap Bar
Weight: 60lbs

ā€¢ The Trap Bar is a tool for everyone; beginner/intermediate/advanced
ā€¢ The trap bar shifts the load across the entire lower body
ā€¢ Great way to build posterior chain before transitioning to barbell deadlifts
ā€¢ Reinforces proper bracing and biomechanics (movement pattern) that carry over well to barbell deadlifts
ā€¢ Muscles worked: hamstrings, quads, glutes, erectors, lats, traps, arms, and grip (no specific order)

Deadlift Bar
Weight: 45lbs

ā€¢ Specifically designed to assist with the deadlift exercise (conventional or sumo stance)
ā€¢ This bar is longer, thinner, no center knurling, and a lower tensile strength creating more slack in the bar off the floor
ā€¢ Lower Tensile Strength (slack in the bar) means the bar will bend more before all the plates leave the floor making it feel ā€œeasierā€
ā€¢ Great tool for Powerlifters who compete using a deadlift bar
ā€¢ Awesome for anyone who wants to have a massive deadlift
