100 MILE FINISHER! Scott closed his 100 mile debut at 23hrs and 17min. He was so focused from the beginning and put together a dominant sub-24 performance. Thankful for the time on the road with Cory and Scott this weekend. What’s next?

Don’t let your hill block your view. Climb the hill!
I found my new “home route” - Nubbin Ridge. It’s tough running in Knoxville. No shoulder, winding turns, narrow roads, and over population. A whole bunch of greenways and trails, but I like stepping out my door and getting to work. Nubbin Ridge gives me a quiet 6 mile out and back with a few climbs. Oh and there’s this awesome sign! 🏔️

I think Tennessee trails will work. 🤩
My days of leave are coming to an end and I’ve been wanting to get out the door to explore the mountains around Knoxville. With BYU taking place this week in Bell Buckle, it made me think of Frozen Head and the Barkley Marathons. I was surprised to find that Frozen Head was only a 45 minute drive north from my house.

My plan was to attempt the 20 mile Barkley Challenge Loop, but when I arrived there were “closed for construction” signs everywhere and a Park Ranger said all trails and campsites are closed until Summer 2026. Damn. But one trailhead was open - the Chimney Top Trail. Thankfully it was a really easy route with small climbs.

In the end I got to finally see the legendary Barkley yellow gate and climb 3,500ft for a fantastic view. What an experience. Thankful for Laz.

The final Monday on the roads of Vass. These streets and routes will always be remembered. They took me to some life changing finish lines. Vass is special. ❤️

Congrats to on finishing with his top time at the EF 50K! Cannot wait to see him head to the Daytona 100 miler in a few months. Keep up the great work and training. 🏔️

The East Fork 100mi starts tomorrow! Best of luck to my Uncle .2 as he heads out on the trail in his 2nd year of the 100 mile distance. 🏔️ My cousin will be there too running down the 50k. I sure wish I was there! Go get it. Climb the hill.
