Dayton Kali Academy’

s foundation is built upon the art & philosophy of Jeet Kune Do. By using no way as the way and having no limitations as limitations, students are encouraged to research, experiment and create their own experience. Students can choose to work through the curriculums for certification or simply enjoy the classes for recreational purposes. You will have the best time while practicing serious martial arts! Philosophy:
Movement is universal. No one system has a monopoly on all that is good and functional in the martial arts. The system that one chooses only matters if that person grows. The Martial Arts are one of the great Mind—Body connectors. The greatest gift of the martial arts is they can assist the practitioner in growing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially joined the Dayton Front Street Art Community! 🖌️✨
Our new home is located at:

This is an exciting new chapter for the school, and we can’t wait to start teaching & sharing in this vibrant artistic space with all of you.

School Location Update:

Hello friends and followers of Dayton Kali Academy,
I wanted to let you know that our school location at 175 Woodman Dr. officially closed on Thursday, April 30. This decision was not by choice; our landlord is expanding their business and will be using the building going forward.

I apologize for the timing of this announcement. I’ve been actively working behind the scenes to transition to a new location and carefully weigh all available options and resources. Choosing the right space for the future of Dayton Kali Academy is extremely important to me, and I’m committed to finding a location that best supports our community.

In the meantime, private lessons are still available, and I fully intend to share news of our new location hopefully by the end of May.

74 years old and looking good! Rick is my oldest student and he loves the Filipino Martial Arts. This video may not be anything too exciting, just a little playful counter for counter practice. But from my point of view , as his instructor, it's an awesome thing to see someone his age show up day after day with enthusiasm to practice his Art. The Filipino Martial Arts are renowned for continued development well into old age. It's a beautiful thing to witness it in person. Thank you Rick for practicing at my school. 🙏 Keep going! You Rock! ✨⚔️👊😁
