Getting things dialed and filed over in the rental shop!

This summer, the crew is working through every piece of equipment in the rental shop, updating inventory, tuning skis and snowboards, making repairs, and getting everything ready for next season.

By the time winter rolls back around, every ski, snowboard, helmet, pole, binding and boot will have been checked and prepped! Any guesses on how many skis and snowboards will get waxed, repaired, or sharpened before opening day?

Randy and Ron getting one of the many tillers dialed in before winter comes back around!

This part of the snowcat is responsible for laying down that pristine Bluewood corduroy. As the cat moves down the hill, the tiller processes the top few inches of snow before smoothing it out with a series of flaps, called combs, that create that classic grooved surface.

The Bison X is in the shop to start the week!

The first cat is in the shop, and the crew has started going through it top to bottom looking for anything that needs to be repaired, replaced, or tuned up.

Once everything is dialed in, the track will go back on and the Bison X will be ready to prowl when the snow starts flying again!

Testing, testing!

The crew was back over on the Nickel today making sure all the electrical systems are functioning properly. Out on the lift there’s a long list of things to check - from brittle bars and stop gates to dynamic testing and more.

All of these systems tie back into the main Nickel computer, where the crew can monitor that the lift is functioning properly and quickly identify what needs to be checked if there’s ever a fault in the system

Every cat track gets inspected for tears, broken grousers, and loose bolts to make sure the cat crew only has to worry about laying down that Bluewood corduroy next winter!
