SV Chinook

SV Chinook "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life" - Muhammad Ali To go sail the world, or at least a small corner of it.

Welcome to the official log of the Sailing Vessel Chinook, a 1978 Ranger 33 sailing from Dayton, Montana. Ten years ago, we made a plan - to do something less ordinary, maybe even extraordinary. To let go of the lines that secure us to our lives, the comforts of our friends, jobs, and home. Ten years ago our plan was just a dream. But we held on to it, worked for it, and slowly began to make it a

reality. In September, we will trailer Chinook to Pensacola, Florida and begin a year-long sailing adventure - living aboard, home schooling, and following the wind.
