Rickey Risden III — 2026 DCBL Co-Coach of the Year

Rickey Risden III is a 2026 DCBL Co-Coach of the Year after guiding the Xenia Scouts to a fourth-place finish following one of the more dramatic turnarounds in the league.

The Scouts opened the season 0–5 and found themselves in last place, but they never allowed the slow start to define their year. The Scouts steadily worked their way back into contention and ultimately climbed all the way to fourth in the DCBL standings, turning what could have become a lost season into a competitive and successful campaign.

A major part of that turnaround was Rickey’s commitment to recruiting and acquiring new talent. The Scouts had 11 rookies appear for the team in 2026, giving the Scouts one of the highest numbers of rookies in the league. His ability to acquire players who could contribute immediately and then fit them into the roster became a major part of Xenia’s improvement as the season progressed.

The most impressive part of Risden’s season came against the Wilmington Aviators. Over four meetings, the Scouts completed a four-game season sweep, repeatedly finding ways to beat a similarly strong team.

Risden’s impact also extended beyond the field. Under his leadership, the Xenia Scouts significantly expanded their social media presence and overall digital footprint, helping increase the visibility of the team and strengthen its connection with players, supporters, and the broader local baseball community.

Between the Scouts’ 0–5 start, climb from last place to fourth, successful integration of 11 rookies, four-game sweep of Wilmington, and growth off the field, Risden helped reshape the direction of the team over the course of the season. For those efforts, Rickey Risden III is a 2026 DCBL Co-Coach of the Year.

Mike Barhorst — 2026 DCBL Co-Coach of the Year

Mike Barhorst is a 2026 DCBL Co-Coach of the Year, adding another honor to a baseball résumé that spans decades as both a player and a championship-winning coach.

Long before taking over the Dayton Wolves, Barhorst was a standout player at Wright State University. In 1989, the former Raider hit .332 with a .411 on-base percentage and 14 home runs, establishing what was then the Wright State single-season home run record. The mark has since been surpassed, but his 14-home-run season remained part of the Raider record book for years.

Barhorst later built an equally impressive résumé from the dugout. As the head coach at Chaminade Julienne High School, he guided CJ to a state runner-up finish in 2017 before winning the state championship in 2018 and 2019, putting together the strongest three-year stretch in the program’s history.

That success carried into adult amateur baseball, where Barhorst led the Dayton Wolves to three consecutive league championships from 2023 through 2025. Rather than taking a step backward after that championship run, the Wolves were again one of the league’s dominant teams in 2026.

Under Barhorst, Dayton finished the regular season 21–2, earning one of the league’s top records and securing a first-round bye in the DCBL playoffs. Maintaining that level of success after three straight championships further demonstrated the consistency Barhorst has been able to establish within the Wolves program.

From setting records as a Wright State Raider, to a state runner-up and state championship run at Chaminade Julienne, to three consecutive adult league championships, and now a 21–2 season with a first-round playoff bye, Barhorst has experienced sustained success at virtually every level of his baseball career.

All-DCBL Awards: At-Large

The final All-DCBL awards, the At-Large category was inspired by the Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association and is used to highlight deserving players at the deepest positions. Our 2026 selections come from the catcher and first base positions, some of the most well-represented positions in the league. Each of these players ranked within the top 18 in formula points throughout the entire league, making them the highest-scoring players who did not previously earn a selection.

Tyler Renk — All-DCBL At-Large

Tyler Renk earns All-DCBL At-Large honors after putting together a strong and well-rounded 2026 season. Renk slashed .328/.506/.344 with an .850 OPS across 83 plate appearances, combining consistent contact with outstanding on-base ability.

Renk collected 20 hits, scored 16 runs and drove in seven, while his plate discipline became one of the defining parts of his season. He drew 19 walks and was hit by three pitches, helping him reach base at an excellent .506 clip. His combined walk and hit-by-pitch rate finished at 26.5%, meaning more than one-quarter of his plate appearances resulted in a free trip to first base.

Perhaps his most dynamic performance came on June 11 against the Aviators, when Renk went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a walk, reaching base in all four plate appearances. He then created havoc on the bases, stealing an incredible four bases in the Angels’ 7–3 victory.

Renk’s combination of patience, contact ability, on-base production and baserunning allowed him to consistently impact games without relying on power. His ability to contribute in multiple ways made his season worthy of recognition outside the league’s standard positional allocations, earning him All-DCBL At-Large honors in 2026.

Iverson Ventura — All-DCBL At-Large

A product of Piqua High School who went on to pitch collegiately at Clark State Community College, Iverson Ventura earns All-DCBL At-Large honors after an outstanding 2026 season.

Ventura slashed .429/.463/.603 with a 1.066 OPS across 67 plate appearances, combining elite contact ability with consistent extra-base production. Ventura collected 27 hits in 63 at-bats, including eight doubles and one home run, while driving in 13 runs and scoring 10. His nine extra-base hits helped him accumulate 38 total bases, and he added five stolen bases to an already well-rounded offensive campaign.

Ventura turned in one of his strongest performances on June 21 against the Camden Redlegs, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. The three-hit performance was part of a season in which Ventura consistently proved difficult to retire.
Perhaps most impressive was his ability to consistently put the ball in play. Ventura struck out just four times in 67 plate appearances, good for a 6.0% strikeout rate, while batting well over .400 for the season.

His combination of contact ability, extra-base production and overall offensive impact made his season worthy of recognition beyond the league’s standard positional slots, earning him All-DCBL At-Large honors in 2026.

All-DCBL Awards: Pitcher

Andrew Simones — First Team All-DCBL Pitcher

A former position player at Sinclair Community College, Andrew Simones reinvented himself on the mound and put together one of the most dominant pitching seasons in the DCBL in 2026. Simones earns First Team All-DCBL honors after going 11–1 with a 1.92 ERA across 70 innings.

Among the DCBL’s qualifying pitchers, Simones finished first in wins (11), innings pitched (70), strikeouts (93), complete games (5), and the league’s pitching formula (212). He also tossed a shutout, held opposing hitters to a .215 batting average, posted a 1.14 WHIP, and recorded a 4.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Simones set the tone for his Cy Young-caliber season almost immediately. On April 12 against the Dodgers, he threw a complete game, allowing just five hits and one unearned run while striking out 14 in a 12–1 Wolves victory. The outing was an early glimpse of the durability and swing-and-miss ability that would eventually help him lead the league in wins, innings and strikeouts.

Perhaps most impressive is the path Simones took to become one of the league’s premier arms. After playing collegiately as a position player at Sinclair, he developed into a true workhorse on the mound, taking the ball for 10 starts and completing half of them.

With the league lead in wins, innings, strikeouts and complete games, Simones compiled one of the most complete pitching résumés of the 2026 season. His combination of durability, swing-and-miss ability and consistent run prevention makes him a clear front-runner for the DCBL Cy Young Award.

Jeff Sanders — First Team All-DCBL Pitcher

A former University of Dayton pitcher who also played independent professional baseball, Jeff Sanders brought one of the most accomplished résumés in the league into 2026 and backed it up with another outstanding season. A former Cy Young Award winner, Cincinnati Adult Baseball League Hall of Famer, and state championship coach at Fort Loramie High School, Sanders earns First Team All-DCBL honors.

Sanders was dominant across seven appearances and six starts, finishing a perfect 6–0 with a 1.22 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 37 innings. He allowed just five earned runs all season, surrendered no home runs, and struck out 42 hitters against only five walks, producing an outstanding 8.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Opponents managed just a .214 batting average against him.

Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Sanders finished with the second-best WHIP (0.95) and second-best ERA (1.22). His 3.4% walk rate was the lowest among the league’s top qualifying arms, while his 28.8% strikeout rate demonstrated that hitters weren’t simply putting the ball in play against him either.
Sanders was at his best on June 21 against the Angels, firing a seven-inning complete-game shutout while allowing six hits, issuing no walks and striking out eight. It was one of three complete games and three shutouts he recorded in only six starts during the season.

With experience spanning Division I college baseball, independent professional baseball, Hall of Fame recognition, a previous Cy Young Award and state championship-level coaching, Sanders showed in 2026 that he remains one of the league’s premier pitchers, even at 55 years old. His undefeated record, elite command and dominant run prevention earned him First Team All-DCBL recognition.

Jeff Beall — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher

A Hall of Famer, former NCAA Division II pitcher at Urbana University, and one of the most accomplished amateur pitchers in the Dayton-area baseball scene, Jeff Beall added another dominant season to his résumé in 2026, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors.

Beall was nearly untouchable across six appearances and three starts, finishing 2–0 with two saves, a 0.82 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP across 22 innings. He allowed just 16 hits and two earned runs, did not surrender a home run, and struck out an incredible 44 hitters while issuing only two walks.

Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Beall finished first in ERA (0.82), first in WHIP (0.82), first in strikeout percentage (53.0%), first in strikeout-to-walk ratio (22.0), and posted the lowest walk rate (2.4%). His 44 strikeouts in only 22 innings worked out to 18.0 strikeouts per nine innings.

Beall’s most dominant outing came on June 28 against the Scouts, when he fired a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 14 in an 8–0 Wolves victory. Opposing hitters managed just a .087 batting average against him in the game, while Beall needed only 96 pitches to finish seven innings.

Already established as a Hall of Fame arm with an accomplished collegiate and amateur résumé, Beall showed in 2026 that he remains one of the area’s premier pitchers. His elite command, overwhelming swing-and-miss ability and continued dominance earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition.

Javin Zoolkoski — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher

A former Hardin-Simmons Cowboy, 6-foot-6 left-hander Javin Zoolkoski made an immediate impact in his rookie season in the DCBL, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors in his first year in the league.
Zoolkoski appeared in 12 games with three starts, finishing 3–1 with one save and a 2.23 ERA across 32.1 innings. He allowed just 25 hits and eight earned runs, holding opposing hitters to a .200 batting average while posting a 1.30 WHIP.

Among qualifying pitchers, Zoolkoski posted the fourth-highest strikeout percentage (36.3%) and finished fifth in strikeouts (53). His 53 punchouts in only 32.1 innings worked out to an impressive 14.8 strikeouts per nine innings, immediately establishing the big left-hander as one of the league’s premier swing-and-miss arms.

His most dominant outing came on June 21 against the Dodgers, when Zoolkoski tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out 13 in a 10–0 Rangers victory. The performance accounted for nearly a quarter of his season strikeout total and showcased just how overpowering the 6-foot-6 lefty could be when he was at his best.

With his combination of size, power stuff and the ability to contribute both as a starter and out of the bullpen, Zoolkoski quickly became one of the DCBL’s most impactful newcomers. His first-year performance not only earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition, but also firmly places him among the league’s Rookie of the Year candidates.

Casey Lippincott — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher

A current pitcher at Ohio Northern University, Casey Lippincott put together one of the league’s strongest seasons on the mound, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors in 2026. Lippincott appeared in eight games with four starts, finishing an impressive 7–1 with a 1.99 ERA across 40.2 innings.

Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Lippincott finished fourth in WHIP (1.11) and seventh in ERA (1.99), while holding opposing hitters to a .196 batting average. He allowed just 30 hits and nine earned runs all season while striking out 41 hitters. Lippincott also brought plenty of velocity to the mound, running his fastball up to 87 mph

Perhaps no outing better demonstrated his impact than July 8 against the previously undefeated Dayton Wolves. Facing the league’s last remaining unbeaten team, Lippincott threw 6⅔ innings, allowing just two hits and no earned runs while striking out five, helping the Rangers hand the Wolves their first loss of the season in a 4–2 victory.

Lippincott’s combination of run prevention, command, velocity and an ability to deliver against elite competition established him as one of the DCBL’s most dependable arms and earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition.

All-DCBL Awards: Utility/Designated Hitter

Rob Pederson — First Team All-DCBL DH/Utility

A former Wright State Raider, Rob Pederson earns his seventh career All-League selection in his 10th season of adult amateur baseball. A former league MVP, Pederson’s 10th season also makes him eligible for future Hall of Fame consideration. He turned in another dominant offensive campaign, slashing .433/.535/.612 with a 1.147 OPS across 86 plate appearances.

Among DCBL DH/Utility players, Pederson led the position group in plate appearances (86), runs scored (26), hits (29), doubles (6), home runs (2), RBI (23), batting average (.433), on-base percentage (.535), slugging percentage (.612), OPS (1.147), extra-base hits (8), and total bases (41). He also struck out just four times all season, the fewest among the position group, while reaching base another 17 times via walks and hit-by-pitches.

Pederson also delivered one of the Rangers’ most memorable swings of the season. After falling behind the Aviators 5–0 through three innings, the Rangers battled all the way back and forced extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th, Pederson launched a walk-off home run to complete the comeback and give the Rangers a 7–6 victory. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two runs scored and a walk. His two home runs in 2026 were also his first in several years.

Ten seasons into his career, Pederson continues to be one of the league’s most productive and difficult outs. His combination of contact ability, on-base production and power made him the clear standout at DH/Utility and earned him First Team All-DCBL honors.

Michael Seebock — Second Team All-DCBL DH/Utility

A product of Miami University Hamilton, Michael Seebock earns his first career All-League selection in his ninth season of adult amateur baseball. Seebock put together a strong all-around campaign, slashing .306/.429/.367 with a .796 OPS across 64 plate appearances.

Among DCBL DH/Utility players, Seebock finished second in runs scored (17), tied for second in hits (15), tied for second in doubles (3), second in RBI (13), second in batting average (.306), second in slugging percentage (.367), second in OPS (.796), and first in stolen bases (2). He also posted the second-lowest strikeout rate (14.1%) among the position group.

One of Seebock’s best performances came on August 2nd against the Aviators, when he went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a walk, reaching base in all three of his plate appearances during a 9–0 Rangers victory.

Seebock’s value extended well beyond the batter’s box. A true utility player, he appeared at every defensive position on the field except first base, giving the Rangers tremendous flexibility throughout the season.

After nearly a decade in adult amateur baseball, Seebock’s combination of offensive production, defensive versatility and reliability resulted in a breakthrough season and the first All-League honor of his career.

All-DCBL Awards: Outfield

Daniel Barhorst — First Team All-DCBL Outfield

A Hall of Famer and product of Chaminade Julienne High School, Daniel Barhorst added another outstanding season to an already accomplished career in 2026, earning First Team All-DCBL honors in the outfield. Barhorst slashed .345/.472/.595
with a 1.067 OPS across 106 plate appearances.

Among DCBL outfielders, Barhorst finished first in runs scored (38), home runs (5), walks (18), stolen bases (20), and total bases (50). He also finished second in RBI (20) and third in extra-base hits (11) while collecting 29 hits and six doubles. His 20
stolen bases added to a career résumé that already has him as the league’s all-time stolen base leader.

Barhorst delivered one of the league’s most complete individual performances on May 17th against the Camden Redlegs, going 4-for-5 with two home runs –the second of which was a walk-off homer– four RBI, threeruns scored and two stolen bases in a 7–5 Wolves victory. The performance perfectly showcased the blend of power, speed and run production that defined his season.

Already established as one of the league’s most accomplished players, the Hall of Fame outfielder and all-time stolen base leader continued to produce at an elite level in 2026. His ability to impact the game in virtually every offensive category earned Barhorst First Team All-DCBL recognition and added another standout season to an already decorated career.

Kyle Markle — First Team All-DCBL Outfield

A former Wright State Lake Campus Laker, Kyle Markle put together one of the most dominant offensive seasons in the DCBL in 2026, earning First Team All-DCBL honors in the outfield. Markle slashed an outstanding .446/.573/.768 with a 1.341 OPS across 75 plate appearances.

Among DCBL outfielders, Markle finished second in batting average (.446), on-base percentage (.573), slugging percentage (.768), OPS (1.341), and RBI (24). He also ranked second in doubles (9) and extra-base hits (12), tied for second in home runs (3), and third in hits (25) and runs scored (20).

Markle produced his biggest performance on June 28th against the Scouts, putting together a perfect 5-for-5 day with a double, a home run, three RBI and a run scored in an 8–0 Wolves victory. The five-hit performance was a fitting example of the consistent offensive production Markle provided throughout the season.

With more than half of his hits going for extra bases, Markle combined elite contact ability, power and on-base production to become one of the league’s most dangerous hitters. His 1.341 OPS led all DCBL outfielders and earned him First Team
All-DCBL recognition in 2026.

Nick Andrews — First Team All-DCBL Outfield

Nick Andrews earns his first career All-League selection after an excellent 2026 season
that resulted in First Team All-DCBL honors. Andrews slashed .397/.463/.685 with a 1.148 OPS across 82 plate appearances, pairing a near-.400 batting average with some of the best extra-base production in the league.

Among DCBL outfielders, Andrews finished first in doubles (10) and extra-base hits (14), second in runs scored (22), hits (28), slugging percentage (.685) and total bases (49), tied for second in home runs (3), and third in RBI (18) and OPS (1.148). He also
finished fourth in batting average (.397).

Andrews put together his biggest performance on July 22nd against the Dodgers, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, home run, three RBI, a run scored and a walk. He reached base in all four plate appearances and posted a 3.333 OPS as the Angels rolled to an 11–1 victory.

With half of his 28 hits going for extra bases, Andrews consistently combined contact
with legitimate power throughout the season. His breakout campaign established him as one of the DCBL’s most productive outfielders and earned him First Team All-DCBL recognition and the first All-League selection of his career.

Jeff Somuk — Second Team All-DCBL Outfield

A former collegiate player at both the University of Charleston and the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH), and a 2026 draft pick, Jeff Somuk made an immediate impact in his debut season for the Aviators, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors and his first career All-League selection. Somuk slashed .389/.529/.630 with a 1.158 OPS across 70 plate appearances.

Among DCBL outfielders, Somuk finished second in on-base percentage (.529), second in OPS (1.158), third in slugging percentage (.630), and tied for second in home runs (3). He also led the position with 10 hit-by-pitches, helping him reach base at an exceptional rate. Somuk finished the year with 21 hits, 17 runs scored, 12 RBI, four doubles and three home runs.

Somuk also finished the regular season on an absolute tear. Over his final two games on August 23rd, he went 4-for-6 (.667) with two home runs –including a walk-off– four RBI, three runs scored, two walks, a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base, reaching base in seven of nine plate appearances without striking out. He opened the day against the Wolves by reaching base in all four of his plate appearances, before exploding later that day against the Dodgers for a 3-for-4 performance with two home runs and four RBI.

Somuk’s combination of high-level playing experience, power and on-base ability immediately made him one of the league’s most productive outfielders. Posting a 1.158 OPS in his first DCBL season and finishing the year with one of the league’s hottest closing weekends, the former draft pick quickly established himself as one of the DCBL’s premier newcomers.

Jaren Vizcarrondo — Second Team All-DCBL Outfield

A former Lenoir Community College player, Jaren Vizcarrondo put together an excellent 2026 season, slashing .460/.481/.620 with a 1.101 OPS across 52 plate appearances. Vizcarrondo combined outstanding contact ability with speed and run production, collecting 23 hits, 15 runs scored and 17 RBI in just 13 games.

Vizcarrondo came out of the gates scorching, starting the season 10-for-12 with eight RBI through his first three games. That early surge set the tone for a season in which he remained one of the league’s toughest outs.

Among DCBL outfielders, Vizcarrondo finished fourth in hits (23) and second in stolen bases (15). He also produced six extra-base hits, including five doubles and a home run, while striking out just twice all season. His 3.8% strikeout rate was the lowest
among qualifying outfielders.

Vizcarrondo’s combination of elite bat-to-ball ability and game-changing speed made him one of the most dynamic outfielders in the league and earned him Second Team All-DCBL honors in 2026.

Kyle Moyer — Second Team All-DCBL Outfield

A product of Centerville High School where he earned league honors, Kyle Moyer earns his first career All-League selection in his eighth season of adult amateur baseball. Despite years of being one of the league’s most dependable and well-rounded players,
2026 surprisingly marks Moyer’s first All-League honor. He put together an outstanding season at the plate, slashing .444/.500/.574 with a 1.074 OPS across 64 plate appearances.

Among DCBL outfielders, Moyer finished second in batting average (.444), third in on-base percentage (.500), third in doubles (7), fourth in hits (24), fourth in OPS (1.074), fifth in RBI (16), and fifth in stolen bases (11). His .444 batting average was also the
fourth-highest among all qualified hitters in the league, while his 12.5% strikeout rate was the second-lowest among outfielders.

Moyer was at his best in one of the Rangers’ most dramatic wins of the season. On April 26th against the Aviators, he went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a stolen base, posting a 2.000 OPS for the game. His performance helped fuel a Rangers comeback
after falling behind 5–0, with Dayton eventually completing the rally with a 7–6 win in 10
Innings.

Moyer’s impact goes well beyond the offensive numbers. His exceptionally high baseball IQ, strong defensive ability and reliability in the outfield have long made him a valuable presence on the field. His instincts and ability to consistently make the right
play, paired with one of the best offensive seasons of his career, finally earned Moyer his first All-League selection and Second Team All-DCBL honors in 2026.

All-DCBL Awards: Shortstop

Ben Thomas — First Team All-DCBL Shortstop

A former state champion at local Chaminade Julienne High School and former Edison State Charger, Ben Thomas wasted little time establishing himself in his rookie season in the DCBL. Thomas turned in one of the league’s best debut campaigns, slashing .455/.526/.576 with a 1.102 OPS across 76 plate appearances and earning First Team All-DCBL honors.

Thomas finished the season as a 2026 DCBL Co-Batting Champion with a .455 average and dominated the shortstop leaderboard. Among players at the position, he finished first in hits (30), doubles (8), RBI (17), batting average (.455), on-base percentage (.526), slugging percentage (.576), OPS (1.102), extra-base hits (8), and total bases (38). He also struck out just three times all season, the fewest among shortstops and good for a 3.9% strikeout rate.

Thomas gave an early indication of what was coming in his very first DCBL game on April 12th against the Rangers. He went 3-for-5 with a double, four RBI and a walk, reaching base four times in a high-scoring 20–14 contest.

Finishing as a co-batting champion while leading his position across nearly every major offensive category would be impressive for any player, but doing it as a rookie made Thomas’ debut season especially noteworthy. His performance earned him First Team All-DCBL recognition and makes him a strong candidate to receive significant Rookie of the Year consideration.

Mark Barhorst — Second Team All-DCBL Shortstop

Another product of Chaminade Julienne High School, Mark Barhorst earns Second Team All-DCBL honors at shortstop after a steady and versatile 2026 season.

Barhorst appeared in 23 games, finishing with 18 hits, 13 runs scored, 13 RBI, nine walks and seven hit-by-pitches across 92 plate appearances while posting a .370 on-base percentage.

Among DCBL shortstops, Barhorst finished first in stolen bases (10) and ranked second in plate appearances (92), hits (18), RBI (13), and combined walks and hit-by-pitches (16). His ability to get on base and create pressure with his speed helped make him a consistent contributor throughout the season.

Barhorst’s best game came on June 21st against the Angels, when he went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in a 16–4 Wolves victory.

His combination of durability, speed, on-base ability and dependable middle-infield play earned Barhorst Second Team All-DCBL recognition at shortstop in 2026.

All-DCBL Awards: Third Base

Todd Barhorst — First Team All-DCBL Third Base

A Hall of Famer, former two-time MVP, state champion coach, and current head coach at Chaminade Julienne High School (CJ), Todd Barhorst earns his 12th career All-League selection after putting together another strong season in 2026.

Barhorst slashed .443/.556/.729 with a 1.284 OPS across 90 plate appearances, producing at an elite level in virtually every offensive category. Among DCBL third basemen, Barhorst finished first in runs scored (40), hits (31), home runs (5), RBI (29), walks (18), batting average (.443), on-base percentage (.556), slugging percentage (.729), OPS (1.284), extra-base hits (10), and total bases (51). He also tied for first in doubles (5), finished second in stolen bases (10), and posted the lowest strikeout rate among the position group at 15.6%.

No opponent felt Barhorst’s impact more than the Angels. Across four meetings, Barhorst went 8-for-14 (.571) with three home runs, eight RBI and nine runs scored, slugging 1.071 against them.

Barhorst’s combination of average, power, on-base ability, speed and run production put him above the rest at third base in 2026.

Zack Meyerson — Second Team All-DCBL Third Base

A former Lane College player, and DCBL Draft pick, Zack Meyerson made an immediate impact in his rookie season in the league, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors at third base and the first All-League selection of his career. Meyerson now adds impact to the game as an assistant coach at Centerville High School.

He slashed .300/.400/.450 with an .850 OPS across 70 plate appearances. Among DCBL third basemen, Meyerson finished second in hits (18), home runs (2), RBI (16), walks (10), batting average (.300), on-base percentage (.400), slugging percentage (.450), OPS (.850), and total bases (27). He also added three doubles and scored 11 runs, giving the Redlegs consistent production throughout his first season.

Meyerson earned Hitter of the Week the week of July 8th-12th after going 5-for-11 with two home runs and six RBI in three games.

Meyerson’s combination of collegiate experience, balanced offensive production and reliability made for an impressive debut campaign and earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition in 2026.
