Another moving thing built by these future engineers.
My 9 year old granddaughter Vera is visiting this week, and she's today's guest photographer.
This year's Boneyard Build-off was held at Carillon Historical Park this weekend. Competing teams had two days to create a machine out of spare parts found at Mendelsons. The machines had to be human-powered devices capable of transporting recycled materials. Points were given for speed, style, and the amount of material the device could carry.
This is team BONDS FRC Robotics. They are a high school robot competition team that meets at the maker space at K12 Gallery and TEJAS. They didn't do too well in this competition, but they told me they are great with robots and they are looking for new members. The team is made of students from several local high schools.
