Well, Men's League participants, we have one more week of play in our season. That's why on Thursday, September 3rd, Men's League will be having an end-of-year tournament. It costs nothing to enter.
There will be a free lunch before the tournament, and there will be prize money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. You will play with your Men's league partner 9 holes of Best Ball. To make it fair across the board, we will be adding both of your handicaps together and then dividing the total by 3. This will be your Best Ball Handicap for your team. (EXAMPLE) You and your team members' handicaps add up to 24. We will divide 24 by 3, which is 8. Your team's handicap will be an 8, and you will start with 8 under. 2 teams will play on a hole. Don't worry if your partner cannot play; you can still enter, and we will partner you with another single player. This Tournament is for Men's League players only. The Lunch will be available at 4 pm that Thursday, and we will have a shotgun start between 5 and 5:30 pm. You must text Tex (Randy) at 320-699-0838 and let me know if you and or your team or single player will be playing in the tournament, so I will know how many lunches to have available, and so I have an idea of how many teams/singles will be participating in the tournament. The golf course will be closed for tee times on Friday, June 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as we host a tournament during that time.

The 2026 season will be remembered as another banner year for Dawson-Boyd golf:

Class A State Champions (third consecutive title)
Boys — State Tournament Qualifiers.

Both programs represented the Dawson community with distinction!!

After the first day of the Minnesota Class A State Golf Tournament, Dawson-Boyd’s golfers are in position to make a strong push on the final day.

The Dawson-Boyd girls sit atop the team standings with a score of 329, carrying a 21-stroke lead into the final day of competition.Alyssa Swedzinski led the way with a solid 79, followed by Claire Stratmoen with an 81. Kylar Hjelmeland added an 84, while Chloe Stratmoen contributed an 85. Additional rounds from Mia Dose (89) and Kylie Mulske (95) rounded off the solid play. Dawson-Boyd is in excellent position to a pursue a third consecutive Class A state championship. Dawson-Boyd individuals for the boys division are
Evan Mork tied for 21st place and Carson Stratmoen tied for 36th individually.
