Something to be aware of as the new points season starts in January. All those winter trips to the indoor will only count towards your district points total as it has in the passed, but not your bonus points toward the state series. All single point local races that are eligible for bonus points towards the state series have to be raced in the state you are pursuing state series points. Basically, out of state racing will not count towards state series points.....

Before, 8 single point locals anywhere = 4 bonus points

Now 8 single point locals home state = bonus points

Plus, finishes matter now towards bonus points going into the state championship.

Today rapped up the 2022 Michigan BMX State Series with the Championship being held in Rockford Mi at Rock City BMX. It has been a tough year for much of BMX but the diehard riders put in time and work this year. Today DV8 showed out. All 7 Qualified riders earned plates (5) 1st, (1) 5th, (1) 7th, (1) 10th and our strider rider brought home a 1st place on the day. All and all I feel I can say great turn out.

Ariel McDermott: 1st on strider
Maizen Kingsland: 1st in 8 expert
Maizen Kingsland: 1st in 8 cruiser
Johnny McDermott: 1st in 26-35 Cruiser
Jamie Kingsland: 1st in 31-35 woman’s Cruiser
Pat “the Badger” Welch: 1st in 36-40 Expert
JP McDermott: 5th in 5 and under Nov
Audrey Kingsland: 7th in 6 Nov
Preston McDermott: 10th in 8 intermediate

Thank you to Rock City for the great event I believe it was around 71 motos today.
