Let’s go!

Get ready for Preview Weekend!

Timberline Mountain will be open for skiing and snowboarding this Saturday, December 2nd, and Sunday, December 3rd!

Preview Weekend is open for daily lift tickets, and all season pass levels will be eligible to ski and snowboard. Perfect Pass and Gold Pass holders can bring a friend for 50% off a daily lift ticket during Preview Weekend. Guests skiing or snowboarding with a full-priced daily lift ticket will earn double Timberline Mountain Credits!

Snowmaking will wind down on Thursday. We anticipate having the majority of terrain from mid-mountain down and two or three trails from the summit, including fan-favorite Salamander. As our team transitions from snowmaking to grooming, we will be able to better assess what terrain will be available for Preview Weekend. Updates to come as the weekend approaches!

Operational status for the week of December 4th is yet to be determined.

All good things must end. Great first season!

Timberline Mountain will not open for skiing and snowboarding tomorrow Saturday, March 27. Unfortunately, due to heavier than expected rain, strong winds, and warmer temperatures, our snow base has rapidly deteriorated over the past few days. After several hours of attempting to salvage remaining terrain, our team of snow groomers has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety of our skiers and snowboarders to remain closed.

While Timberline Mountain will not be open for skiing and snowboarding tomorrow, we invite you to join us for food and drinks from 11am to 7pm. We will be running food and drink specials at the Slippery Slope Bar & Grill. Join us to celebrate a fantastic first year at Timberline Mountain!

One day left!

Timberline Mountain will suspend operations March 23rd and resume for one final day of skiing on Saturday, March 27th!

After a phenomenal first year, our snow base is expected to significantly deteriorate in the coming week due to warm weather and rain. Terrain next Saturday will be limited and you can expect fun, soft spring snow.

To thank our guests for a fantastic first year, Timberline Mountain will continue to offer Bonus Day pricing on Saturday. Skiers and snowboarders on our final day of the season will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes in a Salamander Scavenger Hunt! Visit the ticket window Saturday morning for scavenger hunt rules.

All pass levels will be valid for skiing and snowboarding on Saturday. Gold season passholders can bring a friend and receive 50% off a regular daily lift ticket! Get your last turns of the season in on Saturday!

Thanks to Timberline Mountain for hosting this great event!

The Snowsports School's clinic at Timberline Friday February 19 was awesome. The conditions were excellent with all runs open and Timberline was a fantastic host venue. The clinic was well attended with Patrollers from Ober, Massanutten, Wintergreen, Snowshoe, Winterplace, Beech, Timberline, Cataloochee and Perfect North (Central Division). Thanks to the participants and of course our instructors for making clinic this a resounding success. Also special appreciation goes to Jeff Ayers, TM's Patrol Leader and our liaison with management. We look forward to being back next year!

Light Up the Valley: 2 Night Torch Light Parade Event

Timberline Mountain and Canaan Valley Resort are teaming up for two nights of torch light parades! These back-to-back celebrations of skiing and snowboarding in the Canaan Valley of West Virginia will kick off at 7PM Friday February 26th at Timberline Mountain, and 7PM Saturday February 27th at Canaan Valley Resort.

Grab dinner before the show at Timberline’s Slippery Slope Bar & Grill on Friday, and Canaan’s Quenchers Pub on Saturday! Let’s celebrate a fantastic season that’s still going strong! More skiing and snowboarding is yet to come this season!

Timberline Mountain will be open for the season on Friday, December 18th!

After a wonderful preview weekend, Timberline Mountain will suspend operations from Monday, December 14th to Thursday, December 17th. While we still have several renovation projects to complete, we will reopen for the season on Friday, December 18th with limited terrain and limited amenities. We expect some great snowmaking weather in the upcoming week, with some natural snowfall as well.

The Timberline Mountain ticket office will be open Monday through Thursday for season pass pickup from 9 am to 5 pm. Visit Timberlinemountain.com for more information.
