Here is a benchmark you can reference when measuring your hands and arms when you react for shots. Often this is going to be more useful for coaches to see in the moment to give feedback, but if you're able to watch yourself on film or realize how your arms are moving in your reactions, stay at the edges of your peripheral vision. If your arms go behind or stay out of your vision, they will either be swinging or not be as coordinated to your block. If you keep them too far forward they will either swing back, or not be as loose or wide for a controlled block. See how your habits line up!
