If your follow-through disappears the second something starts to matter, gets a bit mundane, or feels a little "yuck", it's probably not discipline or willpower that's slowing you down...

When you complete something that matters to you, it often goes hand in hand with some form of pressure, visibility, judgment, success, or expectations, and your nervous system and subconscious mind will pull out all the stops to make sure you're protected from that!

That’s why “trying harder” usually doesn’t fix anything longterm (and may leave you burnt out over time...)

Your brain and body need a way to make completion feel safe enough to follow through. ✨

Comment **FINISH** and I’ll send you the 7-minute practice that helps shift this from the inside out. 💖

I love when something playfully interrupts the ordinary routine…

Almost like life is tapping you on the shoulder saying,

“Pause for a second. Come look at this. Play with me now, because this moment won’t stay this way for long.” 🧊

And isn’t that such a good reminder?

So much of presence is letting ourselves be interrupted by what is beautiful, strange, funny, temporary, or unexpected… instead of rushing past it because we’re trying to be “productive.”

Especially as an ADHD entrepreneur, mom, and human with a full life… I need those little invitations back into the moment.

The dry ice.
The curiosity.
The boys experimenting in the sink.
The reminder that joy is often happening right in the middle of the mess.

Follow me for more on getting present, regulating your nervous system, and enjoying your life and business more fully. ✨

Theresa

I found a notebook in my nightstand last month with three pages filled in and forty left blank.

I remember buying it. I remember exactly how sure I felt.

That's the part that keeps people stuck longer than anything else, because the conviction is always real. You do mean it on Monday. Then somewhere around day four the thing gets harder than you planned for, your system reads that friction as danger and pulls you off it, and by Friday you've quietly moved on without ever deciding to.

What actually costs you is the file you keep building on yourself, one abandoned start at a time, until "I never follow through" stops describing something you did and starts describing who you are.

That file is still open right now, and every month you leave it running, it gets heavier to argue with.

Seven minutes a day, aimed at the exact place where you usually drop off, is enough to start putting different evidence in it.

Comment FINISH and I'll send you the details.

I climbed up here for the blossoms, and also because I had something on my list that morning I had been circling for eleven days.

Eleven days of knowing exactly what to do, and not doing it.

Your subconscious runs the math on a task before your conscious mind ever gets to weigh in, and it isn't asking whether the task is hard. It's asking what happens to you on the other side of it. If some part of you learned that finishing means being evaluated, or that doing it well means more will be expected of you next time, then delay becomes the safest available option... and your body will choose safety over progress every single time, without asking your permission.

That's why the planner doesn't fix it, and the 5am routine doesn't fix it, and neither does the shame you hand yourself at 11pm.

The delay isn't the problem to solve. It's the message telling you where the protection is.

If you just felt something recognize itself in that, you already know why you're here... stay a while

The first session I did with Sarah, I could tell she was humoring me.

She was tapping along, doing what I asked, and privately deciding this was a little ridiculous. She told me later that she only kept going because she'd run out of other options.

Here's what I saw from my chair. Everything she needed was already in her, and she'd been circling it accurately for years without being able to reach it. That's not a willpower problem, it's what happens when the part of you holding the pattern is the same part that's supposed to release it. Someone has to hold the other end of the rope.

By the time we moved into hypnosis, the thing she'd been carrying for most of her adult life started shifting in a matter of weeks.

If something in you just perked up reading that, send me a DM and tell me about it. I'd rather hear what's really going on than have you keep guessing.

Somewhere along the way, presence got sold to us as a whole production. The cushion, the app, the twenty uninterrupted minutes you're never going to find.

It's much smaller than that. It's one question you can ask yourself anywhere... can I fully be where my feet are right now?

Maybe you're folding laundry. Drinking your coffee. Walking the dog, sitting outside for a minute. Can you actually be there? Sometimes presence is just tasting your food while you eat it instead of eating it on the way to the next thing.

And if even that feels out of reach right now, that's real information, not a failure. Sometimes the first step is regulating enough that presence becomes available at all, which is why the walking and the breathing and the standing in the grass matter more than they sound like they should.

Then reconnect with whatever makes you feel alive... music, moving your body, the thing you do purely because you like it. Presence grows fast when you're back in touch with your own aliveness ❤️

If the "regulate first" part is where you are right now, that's the piece I can actually help with.

The diagnosis at forty-something. The podcasts. The hundred saved posts you fully meant to come back to.

That's real progress and you should give yourself credit for it... it's also where a lot of us get stuck, because awareness gathered alone stays intellectual. You can hold a perfect map of your pattern and still have nowhere to practice being a different version of yourself.

Practice needs people. That's the entire reason the free community exists, and it costs nothing to be in it.

If your instinct right now is "I'll join when I have time to use it properly," that instinct is the pattern 😅 Comment SKOOL and I'll get you in right away

There's a fountain running all day and the bird still only takes what it can hold. ✨

I think about that a lot, because I've been the opposite. I've had access to more good information than any human could use, and I'd drink from the whole thing at once and walk away with nothing.

Not because the material was bad. Every course I've bought has been genuinely useful, and I could explain most of it to you right now, in detail, having applied almost none of it. 😅

What I was actually missing was somewhere to go the moment I hit the part that didn't work for me. That specific Tuesday afternoon where the framework says do X and my whole body says absolutely not, and there's no explanation for that anywhere in module four. 💕

That's the gap. Not knowledge. Company, while you're in it.

Because the fix at that moment usually isn't more instruction, it's somebody saying "oh, that happens to me at exactly that point too, and here's what I did." Which you cannot get from a PDF, no matter how good the PDF is.

So I built a room for that part. Tapping, real conversation, replays, and a Start Here path so you're not standing there trying to decide where to begin. It's free.

We live in a go go go, do do do world, and slowing down is the thing almost everyone resists first. It feels like falling behind.

But slowing down is the only way any of this becomes visible. It's where you notice that success never actually felt safe for you, and you start to see exactly why. Where you catch the guilt that arrives the second you rest, because some part of you doesn't believe you've earned it. Where you finally connect that the reason you won't publish the video or post the picture or share the more vulnerable thing is that being seen has always come bundled with being judged.

And then you get to trace it back. Maybe love once meant over-functioning in your house, and that became a pattern you've been living inside ever since without ever agreeing to it.

Slow is the new fast, and I mean that practically ❤️

Which one of those hit closest? Tell me in the comments, I read them all.

I talk about this here constantly... the subconscious patterns underneath procrastination and follow-through, EFT tapping you can actually use, nervous system work for the women who look fine on the outside and are white-knuckling it underneath. Follow along if that's your kind of thing

There is a version of self-improvement that sounds inspiring but quietly teaches you to leave yourself behind.

Be more disciplined.

Be more consistent.

Be more focused.

Be more like the people who seem to have it all together.

But for ADHD entrepreneurs, trying to become “better” often turns into trying to become someone your brain, body, and nervous system cannot actually sustain.

So you push harder.

You mask more.

You override your needs.

You shame yourself for needing support.

And then you wonder why follow-through feels so exhausting.

The goal was never to abandon yourself so you could keep up.

The goal is to build a way of showing up that actually works with your brain, supports your nervous system, and helps you stay connected to what matters without losing yourself in the process.

Because the version of you who follows through is not a stranger you have to become.

She is the version of you who finally feels safe enough to stay.

And when you keep abandoning yourself to keep up, the answer is not another strategy that asks you to override yourself harder.

It is support that helps you understand the pattern underneath, work with your nervous system, and create follow-through that actually feels like you.

Comment DONE when you are ready to stop forcing yourself into someone else’s version of success and start getting support for the way your brain actually works. ✨
