TRIVIA NIGHT UPDATE!

We’re reposting our Trivia Night flyer, but there’s one addition that came up after the original flyer went to press:

Each table will be able to purchase a Mulligan/Doubler sheet for $10.

Pro tip: If you have any intention of making the podium, you’re probably going to want one.

And yes, youngsters are absolutely welcome! But we had to pick an age group when putting the questions together, so some of the more dated categories — pop culture, music, TV, movies and the like — will be geared toward the 40+ crowd. Consider that fair warning.

Friday, November 13 at CASI. Come out, have some fun, test your knowledge and support CASI and the QC Summer Games.

We're thrilled to announce that our trivia night on Nov. 13 will be put on by Think and Drink Trivia.

Registrations are already pouring in. Well, we're up to 3 (including Larry's and my test registrations.)

Anyway, registration is open and has been tested.

You can register right from Raceroster.com and search for Trivia Night or you can follow the QR code right to the registration page.

Trivia Night registration is now open!

This year's Trivia Night is being put on jointly by the Quad Cities Summer Games and CASI, and we're expecting big things!

You can register directly at RaceRoster.com by searching for “Trivia Night,” or use the QR code below.

Please register online if possible. Walk-ins will be allowed, but registering early will really help us organize the event and make things easier for everyone.

You can register individually, or you can create a team when you register and ask your teammates to register as part of your team.

Registration is simple. We need your name, email address, and date of birth so we can verify that the person registering is over 18.

Youngsters are welcome, but an adult must register them.

The 50/50 raffle tickets and the raffle basket tickets will be available only at the event.

And for those who have joined us the last two times, we will have a different MC this year.

Get your team together and sign up. It will be a blast!

Our fall trivia night will be Friday, 11/13 held at CASI in Davenport. Cosponsored by CASI and the QC Summer Games with the proceeds split to benefit both.

Start brushing up. We hope you will support our organizations in this important fund raiser and have a blast as you do it.

🎉 Chess is coming to the 2027 Quad Cities Summer Games!

We're excited to announce that chess will be part of next year's Summer Games! Hosted by the Western Illinois Chess Club.

♟️ Tuesday evening, May 25, 2027
📍 Most likely at Western Illinois University

Schedule:
• 5:30 p.m. – Check in, get organized, and late registration
• 6:00 p.m. – Play begins

Tournament format:
• 4-round Swiss tournament
• 15-minute clock with a 2-second delay
• Random first-round pairings
• Everyone is guaranteed all 4 rounds
• Complete beginners are welcome!

The tournament is included in the $40 Quad Cities Summer Games registration fee, which allows you to participate in as many Summer Games activities as you'd like.

If chess is all you're interested in, we also offer a $5 bare-bones chess-only registration, although we'd love for you to join us for the full Summer Games experience!

Whether you're a seasoned tournament player, a casual player, or someone who's just learning the game, we'd love to have you join us.

And don't worry... there's plenty of time to get up to speed on chess before then! 😄♟️

A first look at the new Quad Cities Summer Games medal.

The new I-74 bridge has quickly become one of the iconic landmarks of the Quad Cities, so we've incorporated it into what we expect will become the long-term medal and logo for the Quad Cities Summer Games. (The rings were classic but also a big no-no - we have to get away from them.)

Beyond being an iconic structure, the bridge is also a fitting symbol of what the Games are all about—bringing together people from our four cities and two states in friendly (or fierce) competition, camaraderie, and community.

The same design will be used for our gold, silver, and bronze medals, with only the medal finish changing.

We'd love to hear your thoughts.

Getting ready for 2027. The bounding dates are May 22, 2027 - June 5, 2027 and the youth meet will take place on June 11, 2027. The website and registration will be ready in January 2027.
