Davenport Metro Swim Team The Davenport Metro Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Kids need to learn to become responsible.

Our goal is to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. Swim Groups:

- Bridging/Developmental Swimmers (Beginners)

- 8 & Under Swimmers

- 9/10 Year Old Swimmers

- 11/12 Year Old Swimmers

- Senior Group (13 & Overs)

- Metro Elite (Advanced 13 & Overs)

It's Summer Jam meet week.

We have a fun and exciting meet planned for Saturday (June 13), including some first-time events - that won't include swimming - that will be taking place.

There will be practice for Seniors and Advanced Age Group Swimmers only on Saturday (April 11) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Central's pool.

Practices will resume - as usual - tonight.

Don't forget, there also is a Parents Meeting tonight in the classroom by the pool deck at Central - 5:45 p.m. start time for Splash and Stroke group and 6 p.m. for the other groups.

METRO PRACTICE UPDATE FOR APRIL 6

There will be no practice today (April 6) for Rising Sharks, Junior Sharks, or APEX Sharks.

Both the Central and West pools are unavailable due to maintenance, and we do not have access to a pool location this evening.

The Splash and Stroke group will have a dryland only practice tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Davenport Central.

Dryland practice includes games, movement and simple exercises to help build strength and skills. Please have your swimmer wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes and bring a water bottle.

We understand how frustrating missed practice time can be.

To help make up for this, we may add a Saturday practice and will share details as soon as plans are confirmed.
