*Please note that group classes are subject to change up until the Sunday before they start. If you sign up for a group class and later it does not work for you, please let me know ASAP. No changes will be accepted to group lessons after 8 pm the Thursday before the weekly session you are registered for. After 8 pm on Thursday each week it is the part
icipants financial responsibility for the weekly group session. I do not typically do group lesson makeup. Most places hold the same policy, if you miss a day, you just miss a day. Mainly because my classes max out and I would not have space to add an additional student to another class as a makeup.
*CANCELLATION POLICY (for private lessons): Please read this carefully. You must cancel/reschedule your private lesson 24 hours in advance or you will still be required to pay for the lesson. *Exceptions will only be made for emergencies to be determined by Kayla. Any late participants will forfeit the tardy time for the lesson. If you are more than 10 minutes past your schedule lesson time, you will be considered a no show and the lesson will be completely forfeited for the day. Weather related cancellations will be made up at a later time. Kayla will make the final weather cancellation decision. Here are a few requirements I ask of parents/guardians.
• Please arrive early to ensure your lesson begins on time. Please respect my time and others as well.
• Parents are allow to stay and watch, unless it becomes too much of a distraction for the participants. I will make the assessment as the classes continue. If you chose not to stay, you need to arrive on time to pick up your child from lessons.
• All payments and forms are required to be filled out prior to any services offered.
• Additional rules may be posted as the season continues. Your child will need to bring a towel and flip flops and goggles. NO water shoes will be allowed IN the pool, but can be worn to the pool edge. Please DO NOT place sun tan lotion on child's entire body......just the face...
• The best goggles are the ones that suction good and DO NOT have a nose piece in it.
• Long hair MUST be put up and pinned out of faces. It's hard to breathe with hair in your mouth!
• Make sure your children do not eat within one hour of swimming time. It tends to upset stomachs and cause the need for bathroom breaks.
• Please be aware there is NO public restroom at the facility. I ask you to toilet them before you arrive.
• Lessons are to be paid for before the first day of class. Cash is required. NO EXCEPTIONS
• Please know they will be tired! They will need plenty of rest this week. During swimming lessons, your child will learn to put his/her face in the water. We will play games with the children and get them comfortable in the water. Each child must learn to do this in order to swim. They will learn how to hold their breath, float, use a kick board, kick properly, move their arms well over their heads, jump in the water and swim to the side and across the pool. They will also learn pool safety and how to think about safety around a pool
