Entering his 12th season, Coach Ron Ferrill is the winningest Softball Coach in St Ambrose University history. Prior to the two COVID-19 shortened seasons, St Ambrose Softball had surpassed 30 wins in 5 of the last 8 seasons and had won at least 26 games in 8 straight years. Coach Ferrill is also the Head Softball Coach at Davenport Assumption High School. The Lady Knights have made 6 straight Sta

te Tournament appearances (2016-2021) and won 4 State Titles in that span. In his 7 years at Davenport Assumption the Knights have a record of 257-27-1.

I thought this was pretty interesting. We had a killdeer make her nest and lay her eggs on our field. The location awesome to me. She laid them right between the Bulldogs legs as if he is guarding them. Somehow, there is also a Truman State pendant laying next to the eggs. I don't know if she saw something shiny and drug it there or one of my players just happen to drop it there!

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman Softball team had to hold on to game one and then needed to rally in game two, both missions accomplished, and they came away with a doubleheader sweep of Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Southwest Baptist on Saturday afternoon.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State Softball Head Coach Ron Ferrill has signed three players during the NCAA Signing period. Abbie Danchus (Wentzville, Mo.), Sofia Birkenholz (St. Charles, Mo.) and Lily Arndt (Troy, Mo.) have each signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Bulldogs.
