🏁🎬 : Tom Cruise’s Darlington Speeding Ticket 🚔⚡

While filming the 1990 blockbuster Days of Thunder at Darlington Raceway, Tom Cruise apparently took his role as hotshot driver Cole Trickle a little too seriously! 🏎️💨

On March 2, 1990, Cruise was pulled over for speeding in Darlington. Contemporary reports say the charge was reduced to careless operation of a vehicle, resulting in a $125 fine. City officials reportedly considered dismissing the ticket but decided against it because of the publicity it might generate.

The movie brought plenty of Hollywood excitement to the “Track Too Tough to Tame”—and left Darlington with one unforgettable celebrity traffic story! 🎥🏁

A dear friend who's company was part of the production crew for the filming of "Days of Thunder" back in 1990 at Darlington Raceway, gift me this nice little piece of movie/racing history. Tom Cruise was driving when this was damaged not a stunt driver. Hard to believe it's thirty six years old.
