His first competitive sport was Tennis, competing in numerous youth tournaments in England and France. The day Alex started Lacrosse was the day he quit Tennis. Alex played Varsity Lacrosse and Soccer for Darien High School. Alex won a county championship and two state championships with the Lacrosse team, which finished top 20 nationally throughout his high school career. Alex was recruited to pl
ay Lacrosse at NCAA DIII Drew University in Madison, NJ. Despite an injury plagued collegiate career, including two serious knee surgeries, Alex still played in 32 games. Alex graduated 6th All-Time in Season Faceoff Win % and 10th All-Time in Career Faceoff Win %. After graduating, Alex returned to the Drew Rangers as an Assistant Coach. Alex and the rest of the Drew coaching staff were awarded with the 2014 Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year Award. After the season, Alex received a scholarship to play for Durham University, UK's perennial powerhouse collegiate Lacrosse program. Alex won the 2015 BUCS National Championship with Durham, finishing the season undefeated. Alex finished the season with 21 points in 14 games, with an 85% faceoff win %. After graduating from Durham, Alex was selected to Team England's 28-man squad, which would be going to the 2016 ELF European Championships in Budapest. Alex took the Director and Head Coach position for the men's and women's program at Durham in order to be closer to England training. Both the men and women won 2015 BUCS National Championships, keeping the men undefeated since 2008. Alex won gold with England at the 2016 European Championships, concluding a year and a half of dedicated training.
ACADEMIC & ENTREPRENEURIAL CAREER
Alex earned his BA Political Science from Drew University. During his senior year, Alex was accepted into the selective United Nations Semester. After graduation Alex received a scholarship to Drew's MA Education program. Alex eventually switched to pursue a business degree at Durham University, where he earned an MSc Management (International Business). In 2014, Alex founded the health and fitness brand, InZone Athletics. Alex's mission was to motivated other athletes and people of all fitness levels to overcome physical and mental challenges to reach their fitness goals. InZone evolved to also provide customized fitness programming. Alex quickly became passionate about the power of fitness in personal and business aspects. Alex's mission grew to not only improve people's fitness levels, but also their overall quality of life.
TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
During his two years in Durham, Alex traveled to 32 European Cities. Alex took on the mantra, "let's make some memories", and never looked back. Alex and his friends would typically spend two to three nights in a given location before hopping on a bus, train, or plane to the next stop. Alex found the clustered and minimalist hostel/backpacking life liberating and exhilarating.
