Youth Combine
13u Mason Burress
Campbellsville, KY
Future Taylor Co. Cardinal
5’5” 135lb

Max EV: 81.7 🔥
Max Distance: 258’ 📏
Bat Speed: 58-65mph 🔥
Hand Speed: 17-19mph 🔥

FB: 66-68
CB: 56-58
CH: 60-62

Taylor Co. lefty Mason Burress is a powerful young stud loaded with potential. He’s able to create his power by not only being strong, but moving his strength fast. A 65mph bat speed and 19mph hand speed is well above average for players his age. That power (force x acceleration) helped him produce a 82mph exit velocity at 258 feet. There’s more in the tank, though, as he continues to refine his movements. He’s doing it with us in our Player Development Program, and we are thrilled to see where we can take him. Mason also looked solid on the mound from the left side, showing a 68mph fastball with solid run and sink, and a nice foundation to build on. Great job at the combine, Mason!

EKU RHP Brady Hutchins looked great for his first time facing live hitters this season from recovering from a knee surgery. Brady is tough as nails - he’s been through 3 surgeries in 3 years, and instead of letting the adversity discourage him, he came back looking as good as ever - sitting 88-90 with nasty offspeed and command.

Brady is one of the most impressive high school pitchers we’ve ever seen. He was consistently dominant at Marion county, using precise command, movement, and velocity to put away entire lineups. He’s also a great young man, and seeing him healthy and sharp was an absolute pleasure.

Youth Combine
12u Anna-Warren Nesbitt
Salvisa, KY
Future Anderson Co. Bearcat
5’7”

Max EV: 60 mph 🔥
Max Distance: 182 ft 🔥
Bat Speed: 53-56 mph
Hand Speed: 15-16 mph

FB: 54-56 mph

Anna-Warren Nesbitt showed out with her bat at the combine - posting a PR 60mph exit velocity twice, sitting in the upper 50’s, and reaching a max distance of 182 feet. Her progress in her swing this year has been excellent, and because of it, she is showing power and distance that rivals girls much older than her. Anna-Warren also has a great arm, so we put her on the baseball mound just for fun, and just to make the boys feel bad about themselves. She filled up the zone with strikes and she sat around 55mph, not bad!!! She’s been on the bump in a baseball game too, and one of her favorite hobbies is watching the boys cry on their way back to the dugout. We’re very proud of the progress she’s made with her game this year. Great job, Anna-Warren!

Youth Combine
9u Parker Nesbitt
Salvisa, KY
Future Anderson Co. Bearcat
5’ 84 lbs

Max EV: 61.4 mph 🔥
Max Distance: 131 ft
Bat Speed: 40-44 mph
Hand Speed: 13-15 mph

FB: 45-47 mph
CH: 43-45 mph

Parker Nesbitt is a talented and charismatic young baller who has made some big progress in his game this season. He hit a 61mph PR at the combine, coming in the top 2 in his age group. As he continues to work hard on his swing and gain physical strength - he projects to be a power bat in the future. Parker will be a big dude, and probably a lawyer, as he matures. If he continues to improve his mechanical foundation while he’s young, he’s setting himself up for a lot of success down the road. Speaking of, he’s come a long way on the mound in a short amount of time. He’s a fun kid to train and be around, we love giving him a hard time and joking around when he’s with us. Great job at the combine, Parker!
