11 weeks. Same body weight. A completely different power profile.

Hadley Russell came into our data driven Player Development Program with a clear objective: identify where she was leaving athletic output on the table, then train those limiting factors.

The results speak for themselves.

In just 11 weeks:
⚡ +23% overall power-to-weight
💪 +59% triceps power
💪 +37% biceps power
🔄 +22% rotational power
🦵 +22% lower-body power
📈 Lower-body power: 8th → 49th percentile
📈 Rotational power: 30th → 64th percentile

But getting stronger only matters if we can transfer it to the field.

Her TrackMan numbers did exactly that:
🥎 Peak Exit Velocity: 65.9 → 70.3 MPH
🥎 Median Exit Velocity: 61.6 → 66.5 MPH
🥎 65+ MPH contact: 25% → 67%
🥎 67+ MPH contact: 0% → 42%

And she did it while remaining 175 lbs.

That’s what we’re after. Not simply adding weight. Not chasing random numbers in the weight room. Build a more powerful, balanced athlete and teach her to express that power in her sport.

Assess. Identify the limiting factors. Build the program. Train consistently. Reassess.

This is player development. More than lessons.

Ayden Oiler - Rising 10u
4’3”
64 lbs
Future Casey Co. Rebel

Max EV: 52 mph
Max Distance: 95 ft
Hand Speed: 12-15 mph
Bat Speed: 38-42 mph

FB: 44-46 mph
CH: 37-42 mph

9 year old Ayden Oiler performed well at our Youth Combine, with his greatest attribute being simple consistency. Ayden wasn’t the most powerful player there. He wasn’t the strongest. But, he was the most consistent. His solid contact percentage was the highest in the group. He threw strikes, he fielded well, and he had a great energy the entire time. That’s also why he made our 10u Approach Baseball Club team. He does all of the little things well. He’s focused and loves the game, and we love kids like that! We’re happy to have him on board, and we’re excited to see him play on the field! Great job at the Combine, Ayden!

We’re excited to become an ArmCare.com facility and bring our athletes the latest and best methodology in testing, monitoring, and building arm and shoulder health. This is how we build strength and velocity safely, and it matches perfectly with our already established model of assessing and programming athletes individually in order to give each player exactly what they need to improve. No guessing. Just another perk of being in our Player Development Program - which, we should just call Approach because that will soon most likely be all we offer. It’s just so superior to lessons they almost don’t make sense anymore. All program athletes will have full access to the ArmCare.com testing, shoulder care, and throwing programming.

Rising 10u Rowan Carson
4’11”
87lbs
Campbellsville, Ky
Future Taylor Co. Cardinal

Max EV: 59mph 🔥
Max Distance: 151 ft
Hand Speed: 15-17 mph
Bat Speed: 44-47 mph

FB: 49-50mph (+5 from last combine)
CH: 42-44mph

Rising 10u player Rowan Carson is a young powerhouse. He’s one of the most consistent line drive hitters we’ve seen in his age group, and he does a great job of staying inside of the ball and driving it to opposite field. He has a mature spray chart for his age. On the mound, Rowan has put in the work over the summer, and his results showed at the Combine - both his peak and average fastball improved 5mph from the beginning of the summer. He also sported the highest spin rate on his fastball for anyone in his age range - peaking at 1,472 rpm - not bad for a young dude! We’ve enjoyed watching this young man grow! Great job at the combine, Rowan!

10u C**t Calhoun
4’10”
95lb
Lawrenceburg, KY
Robert B. Turner Titan

Max EV: 56.5mph
Max Distance: 151 ft
Hand Speed: 17-18 mph 🔥
Bat Speed: 46-53 mph

FB: 45-50 mph
CH: 44-47 mph
CB: 44-45 mph

C**t Calhoun is a young dude who is full of potential. He has made big strides in his performance over the last year, especially with his lower half in his swing, giving him the engine to drive multiple line drives above 55mph into the left center gap at the combine. He also shows quality movements on the mound for a beginner pitcher, loading his lower half well and demonstrating good extension at release. As long as C**t is focused and confident, he’s tough to beat! He’s a fun kid to be around, and we always enjoy our time with him. Great job, C**t Calhoun!
