Spaying or neutering a pet is a simple procedure that can decrease animal abandonment rates, reduce animal overpopulation, improve the health and longevity of a pet, and reduce the cost of care.

The Pittsylvania Pet Center partners with a variety of area veterinarians to help local pet owners with the cost of spaying or neutering an animal. The Pet Center provide $75 spay/neuter vouchers for dogs and $50 vouchers for cats.

We're still looking to add some great Group Exercise instructors to our roster! We're looking specifically for those interested in instructing Water Aerobics and our Senior Fit class. No experience needed, we'll handle getting you all trained up to lead a class! Just come with a great attitude and a willingness to learn! Happy Saturday! We hope everyone is having a good weekend so far, especially since it's a holiday weekend! We just wanted to remind everyone about parking at the Y on July 4th. We are open 9am-3pm that day, and after we close at 3 all cars will need to exit the parking lot by 3:15. We will be blocking off the parking lot and don't want anyone to get blocked in, so please make sure to vacate the parking lot by 3:15. We thank you for your cooperation!

Have you downloaded the new YMCA Danville app yet? About a year ago we released a new version for download that required Members to replace the version of the app they had with the new one. If you don't remember replacing it, this post is for you! Follow the steps below to remove the old app and get the new app, as the old app is no longer supported and won't display properly.

To start, delete the old app from your phone.
Go to the app store on your phone and search for "YMCA Danville". Our app should be the only one that shows up.
Install the app and launch it. Make sure you enable notifications so you can stay up to date on our alerts! The home page has a few things to tap on, and to look at all of our schedules just tap "Schedules" at the bottom.

And that should be all that you need to do in order to make sure that you have the most recent, updated version of the app!
