🎾 Junior Tennis Clinics Start Next Week at Chatmoss!

Give your child the chance to build confidence, stay active, and learn a sport they can enjoy for life.

Led by Coach Ken and Coach Kate, who have a combined 32 years of experience and are USTA and RSPA Certified, these fun five-week clinics are open to players ages 5–18, from beginners to advanced.

Session 1: September 10 – October 11
Chatmoss Country Club
$55-65 for the five-week session

With a focus on fun, fitness, and play, there's a place for every junior on the court.

A fantastic morning for tennis in Danville!

Beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, representatives from Danville Public Schools, the Mayor's Office, Danville Parks and Rec, Southside Area Tennis Association, Chatmoss Country Club, former GW players, local athletes, and tennis fans from across the region came together to celebrate the grand reopening of the newly renovated George Washington High School tennis courts.

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees enjoyed tennis activities for all ages, exhibition singles and doubles matches, and the opportunity to experience the upgraded courts firsthand.

These courts serve as the home of George Washington High School tennis and as a primary location for SATA lessons, scrimmages, and community programming. The renovation marks an exciting step toward providing higher-quality tennis facilities for players of all ages and helping the sport continue to grow throughout the Danville area.

Here is the video of the ribbon cutting yesterday to celebrate the Grand Reopening of the newly renovated George Washington High School Tennis Courts.

The GW courts are home to all George Washington High School tennis matches and serve as a primary location for Southside Area Tennis Association lessons, junior programs, scrimmages, and community events. They are also free to the public to use.

The improvements create a more welcoming, high-quality facility for everyone who plays here—from beginners learning the game to high school athletes competing at home.

🎾 Middle & High School Tennis League starts THIS Wednesday!

Our next 5-week competitive tennis league begins August 19 and is designed for middle and high school athletes who play on a school team—or those who don’t have a school team but want to compete.
📅 Wednesdays, Aug. 19–Sept. 16
⏰ 4:00–5:30 PM
📍 Bonner Middle School
💲 $65

Each season includes a minimum of 2 competitive matches against local teams, giving players the opportunity to prepare for match play, build confidence, and continue their journey from our Learn, Practice & Play programs.

This program's first scrimmage is at against Chatham Hall on Sept 7th at 4:30pm (Varsity is home and JV is away)!
