Since conceiving of the idea of having my own shop I have been continually asked “why 6Fifteen and what does it mean?” Well, it’s a tribute to a small group of friends and fellow riders that roll almost every night at 6:15; rain or shine, warm or cold, light or dark. Riding with these guys after a hard day at work has taught me that there is always time for fitness, that group rides are super fun

and motivating and it is has enabled me to race competitively at a level I never imagined possible. To those guys and the magic hour of 6:15 I am eternally grateful. The fun I have on those rides and the benefits I have experienced became the inspiration behind 6Fifteen. All of us here love cycling and frankly can’t think of a better way to spend our days then helping beginners to learn about the sport, enabling enthusiasts to fuel their passions for riding and providing the gear and knowledge for racers and fitness nuts to achieve their goals. But 6Fifteen isn’t just another bike shop. It's any riders home away from home. We’re located at the gateway to an unlimited number of rides with incredibly varied terrain including Mt. Diablo, a mecca for both road and mountain bikers. So whenever you ride, day or night, plan to start here and afterwards c’mon in and just hang out. This shop is here for you. Kick back, recover, tell stories and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow cyclists; there is nothing else like it. Oh, and help yourself; the coffee and refreshments are on us. I hope to see you soon and remember, live to ride or ride to live; it’s your choice…just ride. Thanks for listening

Hey all. We're going to take a short break for a bit of an extended Thanksgiving and to ...well...drink umbrella drinks. Keep an eye on your inbox and check back here on Dec. 5th. We'll get our rides rolling again then. Until then have fun, be safe and keep pedaling.
