🧐Interesting discussion over
the past few days 🧐
💥S&W , R***r , C**t 💥
It wouldnt be too far fetched
to refer to these manufacturers
as the biggest American
firearm manufacturers ever.
⚡️Well CZ found it fashionable to take over what apparently was a
poorly ran C**t Fi****ms
so we can scratch that one off
of the list of continuous iconic
American firearm manufacturers.
🤷🏻‍♂️This weeks hot topic on
this subject is that
Beretta has bought up
almost 10% of R***r’s stock🤷🏻‍♂️
🤔R***r notices & reaches out
with an offer that would cap
The amount of stock Beretta
could accumulate
as well as giving them a large
presence on R***r’s board
👀Beretta supposedly ignored
R***r’s suggestions
& basically demanded certain
things that would lower R***r’s
stock price & all but give
Beretta control anyway.
R***r does not agree to such.
So now it appears that Beretta is
now just going with
the notion that they will simply
consider this a hostile takeover
& apparently are not
going to disguise it
-👀The takeover has not
happened yet
We will keep our eyes open
as this develops & hopefully R***r
can figure out a way to fend
off this situation.
🌞I have had a lot of respect for
several of Beretta’s products
over the decades
But it has also been quite obvious
that behind the scenes
Beretta lacks a quality
bedside manner
✨Their reputation in business
is unyielding strict
and aggressive
⚡️Their reputation when it comes
to their sponsored shooters
definitely has a lot of
room for improvement
& lets not forget that they are
almost impossible if not impossible
to get to warranty, work on
or even help with getting parts for
any Beretta over 10-15 years old
✨These Manufacturers
will eventually work it out
amongst themselves
✨I suppose a small threat
to our personal
top-shelf-gun-fun
would be if R***r WAS about
to come out with an AMAZING
new firearm or innovation
& this weirdness with Beretta
made them shelve it🤷🏻‍♂️
💥Things change and time
marches on as we all continue
to enjoy fi****ms in the ways
that make us most happy &
tales of the bickering firearm
giants will soon just be
memories shared
💙I love my Beretta 390deluxe
I have dove hunted it exclusively
for decades now
The memories made with her
most every September
are priceless & no matter how
this all shakes out it will not
negatively affect how I
think of Beretta fi****ms
in any way
💎 No matter what part of enjoying
fi****ms you may like best
its always great to explore
the huge variety of ways
a person can enjoy having

are SO WELL MADE
When the triggers are up
in their “hidden” position
they are almost impossible

✨I didnt get to spend much✨
time with these amazing
pieces of history but now
I know where they are
I plan to delve deeper into

☀️I was proud to be allowed☀️

Just an fyi:
The R***r made Marlin lever action
1884 is being offered in
10mm
*1st up:
peep sight
threaded barrel
Stainless
Laminate stock
Trapper model
- I DO like the thought of a cool
smallish suppressible lever gun
in a caliber I already have . There
is something to be said for having
a pistol and a rifle in the
same caliber .
- I assume it will be light ,handy
& accurate .
- I guess it will have an extra 200
or so fps over a pistol
with the same load.
- I do have doubts about its
practicality , but how often do
gun owners , especially 10mm
fans ,, worry about that?
- The retail price of 1599 also
seems steep , but these days
I guess i should have expected
that.
- My experience with this platform
is limited to an older Marlin in
45/70,,, so I look forward to
getting my hands on one of these
to put through its paces.
- The big lever loop is an
expected point of controversy,
as it has fans & enemies in
equal numbers in my
estimation . Personally I
appreciate the large loop on a
rifle set up like this ,, as
it is sort of a
“ATV gun”-“farm walk gun”
albeit an expensive one,
in such a situation gloves
may be on when she is
called upon.
- An expected 10 round tube
capacity seems a little low.
-I did hear that the factory is
shipping a few out to
distributors now , but with a
limited # of this model expected
& with what I would assume to
be a lower demand overall , I
would say time is of the essence
as far as getting an order in , If
you fancy such a rifle.
- Also imo all of these things
usually are traits of a piece
that will hold its value very well.
-Researching , anticipating ,
searching for ,,& speculating on
an items collectibility are cool
ways we can have & enjoy
Top-Shelf-Gun-Fun.

✨I adore old unique pieces & this little jewel certainly fits the bill
✨Acier Fondu pinfire pocket pistol
✨This example is missing
its plunger, tho I still found it
more than interesting
enough to share
✨We will be working on it & getting
her back to safe firing status.
✨Meanwhile enjoy the pictures
& please share any experience
you may have with these cool
looking old mini pistols.
✨ As stewardship of a cherished
piece changes one cant help
but wonder about an old
fi****ms past & whom may
have wielded it previously.
✨I try to leave such a piece a
little better than i found it
tho of course it is certainly
acceptable to enjoy
a lone, rusty, unworking
example that is missing
several parts.
💎Learning a fi****ms history &
provenance ,,
the love of restoration ,,
researching a formerly
unfamiliar piece,,
holding a fine firearm as we
inspect its intricacies ,,
These are all potential ways to
have & enjoy

🐍 A vintage Python Elite 🐍
4” barrel
in immaculate shape
ended up on my workbench
& I had to share a picture.
The “Royal Blue” finish
is very very deep , rich &
extremely hard to photograph.
Running into a fine firearm
like this that I have not
seen in a while
reminds me that there are
many ways to enjoy our hobby
and have

✨A fine .22 rifle✨
✨Kimber m82 .✨
💎Time marches on & when i
reflect on moments of
Top Shelf Gun Fun certain
memories seem to make time
stand still.
Like when someone says:
“the .22lr Kimber m82
came out over 35 years ago”,
my 1st reaction is always
“that cannot be true”
but then i remember ,
that i am old.
Despite the fact that I’m
“long in tha tooth” the
Kimber model 82 .22lr
has earned its way into my heart.
Make no mistake, it had an uphill
battle as i am a long term lover of
the iconic Wi******er m52
sporter& any rifle that
wants to get in the ring
with a 52 & go head to head
MUST BE CRAZY!!
But …….
the Kimber 82 is definitely
a top ranked contender for the
title that most people
automatically give to the
Winny m52.
My personal problem with
the Kimber
initially was petty, i felt
like it was
“a pretty boy’s gun”. The type
of rifle a rich man’s son
got for his 15th birthday.
It was also always expensive,
plus,,I had always revered the
Wi******er 52 as
“King of the .22s”.
Then, one day at the local range a
gentleman asked if i would sight
in his new rifle for him, it was a
Kimber chambered in 22-250.
Long story short, that was a
fine rifle. I appreciated
everything about it & right then
i knew that i needed to give the
model 82 a closer look & i am
very glad i did. Since my
interest peaked i have been
blessed to handle and shoot
several beautiful older Oregon
examples & they were all very
nice & capable of shooting
better than most people could.
💎The Kimber model 82 is a fine
firearm by any standard, the
wood is always very nice, the fit
and finish is very good, the
triggers are some of the best &
the price really isnt that bad.
As I learned more about the
m82 I realized that they were
truly one of the great .22lr rifles
of all time.
The time & efforts we put into
learning fi****ms & the knowledge
we slowly acquire while doing
so, is an excellent way to enjoy
having Top Shelf Gun Fun.

✨It has been unusually cold here
in the southeastern US &
even tho i want to get out
and shoot (& plan to),
The wind , ice , snow & overall sloppy conditions debate with me to
just stay home.
✨This grounding of sorts has
allowed me to inspect and wipe
down every gun & knife I own &
the extra indoor time lets me
browse the internet looking at
interesting new fi****ms &
unique old ones alike.
✨An interesting conversation
about Automag .44s being
made in Loris SC spurned many
memories & thoughts.
My 1st thought was about ole
“Wildey”
which of course was
Charles Bronson’s “friend”
in one of his classic movies.
✨The Automag and the Wildey
tend to remind me of one another,
tho the Wildey is gas operated.
I was definitely enamored with
the Wildey from an early age &
unbelievably i still have
never seen one in person.
✨The Automag .44 magnum
I didnt recall as a supporting
cast member to Clint Eastwood
in “Sudden Impact”
tho I certainly recalled it
after being reminded.
I have inspected and fo**led an
Automag .44 even tho
I have thus far never fired one.
✨After this one conversation I
have instigated two new
Top Shelf gun missions,
I need to fo**le & inspect a
gas operated Wildey &
I would like to visit the
Automag factory in Loris.
This post is just to point out
a few ways to continue to enjoy
Top-Shelf-Gun-Fun
even if we can’t get out and shoot
or just dont want to .
As the Spring weather rolls in
being outside will become
much more enticing .
✨I know there are many
that still shoot no matter
the temps/conditions .
Either way , shooting in
harsher conditions or
waiting for prettier weather,,
All of us that enjoy this hobby
will find a way to
continue having
Top-Shelf-Gun-Fun.
