The Annual Player’s Cup—overlooked by some—considered a cherry on top to others—has always been a mix of pash and attrition to become the consolation Champion at the OPEN each year.

The Dark Knights out of Suffolk County NY showed grit determination and considerable PASH all weekend after a quick end to their OPEN Dreams Saturday. On Sunday, with a morale boost from injured teammate Mike Valenti , the Dark Knights rolled through the Player’s Cup bracket thanks to MVP-esque play from Ty Cee who pitched as good as anyone all weekend for this shorthanded squad. Once again proving that playing with “your guys” really can make a difference.

It would be a disservice to ignore the run that The Process out of Philly went on this past weekend. Going back and forth with Wiff Inc for 9 inning and falling just short.

This team of young studs grabbed elite superstar Daniel Whitener to round out their roster before rolling through the tournament with big win after big win.

The Process took out the Sonics, Worst Generation, NRG, and DTR before falling to Wiff Inc in the finals. A truly inspiring run for any young team out there.

The future is now—for The Process.

A League built on MOMENT is only as strong as the players behind them….

Ken Rodgers Sr. Has made a Hall of Fame career out of playing with his son and brother—and now, his grandsons biggest fan!

“Moonlight” was named MVP of the OPEN Finals—slashing two go ahead home runs—none being bigger than his go ahead homer in the bottom of the 8th inning.

The glue to the Wiff Inc name, and a true modest Champion.

Hats off to an amazing player, and an amazing weekend by one of the best to ever do it on a wiffleball field.

25 years complete. Will there be 25 more?

For right now, let us Congratulate Wiff Inc out of NY for their 2nd Golden Stick Yard National Championship! The Process, out of Philly, shined all tournament and came up just short of making true Wiffle history—falling to Wiff Inc 9-8 in a 9 inning thriller of a Championship game.
