The defending champs return after making multiple additions to this years squad. Making them candidates to win back to back titles.
The 2024 POY Colin Prentiss finished as the runner up in 2025. 2nd in Cy Young and 4th in Hitter of the Year. He hit .395 with 5 homers and 35 runs batted in. On the mound Colin was 7-1 with a 2.30 era and 75 strikeouts in 31.1 innings.
After finishing 3rd in HOY voting in 2024, Nick Lea had a bit of a down year at the plate in 2025. Lea still had pop with 6 homeruns and 15 rbi. He finished 3rd in walks (34) and was the 4th hardest to strikeout (24.8%). Nick had a great year on the mound going 3-2 with a 2.12 era, striking out 33 while only walking 11. He earned the W in the championship deciding game against 603 WC.
Scott Thomas joins the Dragons after winning HOY with Vendetta. He led the league in average (.429), tied for 2nd in homeruns (9), set a single season record for runs batted in (52), was 1st in OBP (.651), and in turn was the toughest in the league to strikeout (15.9%)
Rob Donahue, a lifer with 603 WC joins the team that beat him last year. As usual, Dons was a top hitter and pitcher in 2025, (2nd in Cy Young, 3rd in POY). In 24 games, Rob hit .355 with 5 homeruns and 31 rbi. Dons pitched even better than his 6-6 record shows. He finished 3rd in ERA (1.85) 1st in strikeouts (86) and innings pitched (45.1).
Also coming over from 603 WC, Paul Coutoumas, Boomer as we know him, had a big year in his first full time season in years. Boom hit .309 with 6 homers and 32 runs batted in. As the arm behind Donahue, Boomer got the job done with a 5-0 record, 4.31 era, and 40 strikeouts in 21.1 innings.
Rounding out the Dragons roster, Tom Gannon hit for a ridiculous .560 average, 4 homers and 15 rbi, in 6 games last year. On the mound, the lefty took to an 0-3 record. With one of those loses being 1-0 to Vendetta.
With the new roster additions, the Dragons looked primed to repeat as champions. They run 5 arms deep on the mound and have a lineup with no easy outs. We haven’t seen a true back to back champion in ECW. Could the Dragons be the first and win their 3rd overall title? This could be the year.
