Dansville Aggies Baseball

Today we celebrate two exceptional seniors - Nathan Sherwood and Joey McMillan.

Nathan and Joey have exemplified leadership and strength on and off the ball field. Both playing baseball as a little Aggies in DCAA and have continued to work hard and become leaders and captains of the varsity baseball team.

Joey has been a member of the National Honor Society and the varsity basketball program. After high school Joey will be attending Great Lakes Christian College, where he will be playing baseball and basketball. He will be dual majoring in business management and Sports management.

Nathan has been a member of 4H and FFA.
After high school Nathan will be waiting for placement with the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP), local 36, where he has already been ranked.

Splitfinger baseball out of the Lansing area will be holding tryouts for the following age groups.

Location - Williamston township hall- 4990 zimmer road Williamston Michigan

Cost is $15 which kids will get a split numbered shirt and can return at end to get $15 back.

*Be Prepared to accept a spot at tryout if asked.

Ages and Dates

Registration starts at 5pm. Tryout times is 5:30-7pm.

July 11th is for 11u and 13u age groups

July 30th is for 9u and 10u age groups

July 31st is for 12u and 14u age groups

Travel ball ready 8 years olds are encouraged to attend 9u age group as well.

The Dansville youth baseball clinic for Wednesday and Thursday have been Canceled due to heat index.

This will be rescheduled. Please stay tuned for an alternate date.

Please come join us on June 19th and 20th for this years Youth Baseball Camp sponsored by the Dansville Aggie baseball program. Varsity baseball players will host this event where we will break groups up into age levels and work on specific skills in order to develop baseball players. All proceeds go to the Aggies Baseball program.

Typical Schedule:

12-1230 stretching and warmups
1230-130 Skill building
130-2 Snack time sponsored by Never Better food truck. Please send $$ for your kids to purchase food and drinks if you’d like.
2-4 Skill building

Opportunity for more baseball for Aggie Baseball Players!

Mid-Michigan Summer League 2024

I. Players
• Any Aggie student from 7th grade to graduating seniors are welcome to play. Contact Coach Bailey if you’re interested asap. 517-648-6857.

II. Rules
• Games DH on Mondays and Wednesdays @ 5 PM
• Games have 1:45 time limit - NO Inning can start after 1:45.
• June 10-July 24 (NO GAMES JULY 3)
• High School rules apply (no limit on batting order, or substitutions) Example: You can sub in and out every inning on defense. Just keep the batting order the same.
• Mercy Rules - 10 after 5inn - No Mercy after 3.

III. Practice Schedule
a) Tuesday’s from 3:15-5:00pm
i) Starts June 10 thru July 24
ii) Schedule will be updated by June 5th.
IV. Game Schedule (all Double headers)
