The Dansville Gliders would like to welcome Nick Smith to our 2026 coaching staff!

Before he started at Alfred University, Nick coached his alma mater Arkport Central School (class of 2010) for 7 years. He started out as the Boys JV Baseball coach until 2020. In Spring of 2021 he became the head coach of the Varsity Baseball program at Arkport-Canaseraga. In 2024, he helped lead their team to its first Section V Class D Title as well as the New York State Class D Champions, the first time as a combined program. He held a 75-30 record as a baseball coach.

As a player at Arkport, he was a two time Steuben County First Team all-star and was a member of the 2009 New York State Champions for class D as the catcher.

Nick graduated from Alfred State with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in 2015.
