Overall great weekend with a few bumps and bruises on the car.
Could've/Should've had a podium on night one but didn't get a chance at a Green/White/Checkers due to a missed officiating call.
These restrictors are super competitive right now with only a few tenths between all of them.
We'll come back and try again next time!

Brantley’s first non-wing race in his ‘new to him’ Pmp Chassis was an overall success that almost didn’t happen.

After recent tragedy in Oklahoma involving a fire and a driver who couldn’t egress, we decided to change the seat for Brantley to give him more space around his Head and neck restraint. I also swapped both axles, belts, chain, etc. We got it all done just in time to leave and realized the pedals now needed to be adjusted. Due to this, we missed hot laps and started last in the heat. He went 5to 3 in the heat, should’ve had 2nd but scrubbed the wall. Barely kept 3rd with a close finish…said he was way too tight.

Feature he was starting P3 after a brief rain shower. I didn’t change anything expecting a slicker track. The track was rough and had a lot of character but stayed sticky…making us way too tight. We got run into the wall in the middle of the back straightaway around lap 5-6, which bent the ladder straps. He fought the car the whole race falling to 6th before making a last second pass for 5th at the line.

The lack of adjustable shocks really shows when you have to drift through rumble strips on both ends of the track. Regardless, he had the 2nd fastest lap of the night, narrowly missing quick time by a few hundredths. The restrictors are all really evenly matched this year with only .2 seconds between 1st and 7th as far as lap times. The kids kept them all pointing straight and ran green to checkers again.

Good racing and everyone drove their butts off!

Brantley Queeney finally got himself a feature win! After last race we went back to the drawing board, made a lot of changes to his Pmp Chassis and finally got it comfortable for him. He came in after hot laps saying it has “never driven so good!”. We tweaked it a little more and went 4th to 2nd with the fastest lap of the heat, reeling in the leader. That put him starting P1 in the feature where he opened up a 2sec lead before catching lap traffic. A caution with 6 to go bunched them up again but he was able to keep it smooth and out front, picking up his first feature win!
Thank you all for your support along the way.

Brantley Queeney was pumped for the opportunity to take the wheel of a Legends car this afternoon, expanding his racecraft and challenging himself with his first asphalt oval. His rapid progress was impressive, and he's eager to try a few races this year out at Houston Motorsports Park. He said it was awesome, declaring the experience a 9.5/10 on the 'cool' scale!

Brantley is looking forward to getting behind the wheel of this hot rod tomorrow!

Brantley's Tulsa Shootout Heat Race - P3 to P2.
After the 'A' class heat wipeout, we were happy with the results of our old Sawyer Chassis in this restricted heat! Especially considering we had to swap a bunch of wrecked parts just to make the race. For the record, the car that finished behind him in this race started on the pole in the 'A' main...so we had the speed to at least compete, the cards just didn't fall the way we needed them to.

He had a few chances to dive bomb the leader and make a pass but would've possibly wiped himself out (or the person he was passing). His off-the-bike GSXR 600 had a ton of drive off the corner compared to the others...really pulled hard on them. A few times he'd pull right up on the leader and then brake, or lift, instead of diving low. I would've liked to see him a little more patient on that last restart, set up the leader a little better and make a clean attempt at a pass. Instead, he got his RF tire on her and lost all of his momentum. I wish we could've made the car handle like that in the Qualifier and 'B' main! We loosened it up a little too much. Lesson learned!

Here's the video of Brantley getting wiped out by the 58. He barely missed him on the lap before when the 58 spun out all by himself. Gotta love it when people wipe you out for an 8th place finish.

Brantley was running the 'A' class with his restricted car and was just out there for track time/experience. He was doing well early in the race running 4th but got loose in 3/4, jumped the berm, and fell back to 9th. The guy in the video spun in front of him, so he got back to 8th before getting taken out. It ended up costing us a LF shock and a whole new injection.

Brantley Queeney was running the 'A' class Heat Race with his Restricted car, looking for laps and experience. He was doing well until he got loose in 3/...
