ABOUT THE HIKE: Saturdays @ 9:00 am We meet in the Dana Point Strand Beach Parking Lot (free parking) at Selva Road on the ocean side of PCH – North end near the bathrooms & funicular. We head south along the bluff top sidewalk to the switchback trail and down to the elevated Strand Beach boardwalk. We go the length of the boardwalk to the sand, go around the corner to Salt Creek Beach, head up

the trail and then along the ocean view bluff top path through the park. We continue past the Monarch Bay golf course, through the tunnel under PCH and enter scenic Sea Terrace Park. Our walk then takes us back under PCH, down the hill to Salt Creek Beach, around the corner, back to the sand and then up the stairs to the Strand Beach parking lot. This advanced beginner hike will be 3.7 miles with approximately 200 feet of elevation gain/loss and a mix of trails, walkways and sandy beaches. These are some of the most beautiful beaches in Orange County, adjacent to some of the most expensive real estate in the world, including the Ritz Carlton Hotel. We finish the hike at our bluff side parking area, with magnificent 180 degree views of the Dana Point Headlands and Pacific Ocean.
