Beginner Kayaking - 2 Hours
This basic course is for the beginner kayaker. We will practice stepping in and out of the kayak. On the water we will practice forward paddling, turning and stopping. Sea Kayak Fundamentals - 3.5 Hours
The touring class is for beginners and those that would like more practice feeling confident on the water. We will discuss weather and tides, route/trip planning, and safety gear. Plenty of time will be spent learning the forward, reverse and sweep strokes which we will practice while exploring. Emphasis will then be placed on self and assisted rescues, one of the most important skills for sea kayaking.
