For 85 years, the Cow Palace has been a place where traditions are celebrated, memories are made, and history comes to life.

From agriculture and rodeo to concerts, sports, and community events, every chapter has helped shape the legacy of this iconic venue. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey—we can't wait to see what the next 85 years have in store.

Whew! July sure kept us in the saddle. Along with tipping our hats to National Cowboy & American West Days, we headed up to Marysville to meet with Reno Rosser of Flying U Ranch, our Grand National Rodeo production partner, to put the finishing touches on this year's rodeo.

Back at the Cow Palace, the pace hasn't slowed one bit. We're rounding up the final Miss Grand National applications, locking in our retail vendors and entertainment, and making sure every detail is ready for an unforgettable October. Before you know it, the first two weekends of October will be here, bringing the Women of Rodeo and the Grand National Rodeo to center stage.

There's plenty more on the trail ahead as we celebrate 85 years of Western heritage and tradition. Since opening our doors in 1941, the Cow Palace has been proud to keep the spirit of the West alive, and this anniversary year is shaping up to be one for the books. WINNERS ANNOUNCED: For the past four years in winter, we have hosted our youth arts competition, Step Into The Light, to pay tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. who gave his notable and memorable 1964 speech to the National Republican Convention that was held here at the Cow Palace. Our event invites high school students from across the Bay Area to participate in this creative competition, giving each participant an opportunity to pay homage to MLK Jr.’s message of shining a light on current events and topics that need to be addressed, all through their creative interpretation and expression. This is just one of the many ways we give back each year, and we think you’ll enjoy this Community. episode of our docu-series, Guess What’s Coming to the Cow Palace?

The next generation of agricultural professionals show their livestock at the Cow Palace every October. You can support them, and the future of our food supply, by sponsoring the Grand National Jr. Livestock Show. 🐎

These exhibitors come from eight western states to be evaluated by top judges from accross the county. The show is one way these young people prepare themselves for careers in ag education, environmental science, food production, veterinary medicine, ag law, and public policy. 🐑

The Garden Bros Circus starts tonight through Monday 6/29. Garden Bros Circus has been entertaining families for more than a century. Founded in the 1930's by Scottish immigrants William and Robertson Garden, it began as a small vaudeville act in Canada. Today, it stands as the 'Largest Circus on Earth', touring across the United States and bringing unforgettable live entertainment to cities of every size.

We’re proud of where we came from. And we’re just as proud of where we are now. Family is important to us, which is why kids' tickets are free and coincide with an adult purchase.
