West Coast Lion Dance Troupe Founded in 1988 by Sifu Tony Shiu, our troupe strives to promote the tradition of lion dance and pass along the culture behind this art.

We have participated all around the Bay Area for various events such as Weddings, Birthdays, Red-Egg and Ginger Parties, Grand Openings, local school assemblies, and many other Private Parties. We are also very a

ctive in the community, performing at the SF Chinese New Year Parade, Nihonmachi Street Celebration, Asian Heritage Celebration and have also been a part of the SF Pride Parade and Carnaval Parade in the past. Do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions about performances or if you simply have questions about the art of Chinese Lion Dancing.

This year we went back to our roots and teamed up with Chung Ngai Dance Troupe for 6 full days of performances which started on the first day of Chinese New Year to the closing of the year. As many of you might not know that I first started lion dancing with Chung Ngai back in 1976. Always remember that the names maybe different but Chung Ngai and West Coast will always be family
