Another successful guiding trip in the books.

Thanks making it an easy and flexible one.
A little rain in the morning didn't put a damper on our trip.

First cast, first keeper made it a great day for Vincent.
HNO Snares and Reapers from made it happen today.

He ended the day with the most keeper crab he's ever snared at 7.

I donated 3 out of the 6 I caught for 10 crab take home for him. Not a bad day for a beach I haven't been back to since December.

I also showed him how to harvest some mussels.
Bonus!

The key tip I gave him today was paying attention to how many steps from your pole holder down to the water and consistently casting into the same hole, same spot over and over again. Even with water moving up or down remember the steps to the same casting spot was key to his success today.

Nothing easy about this day.
Running 3 crabbing rods and 1 perch rod.

I decided to run a perch rod to keep the crab snaring soaks long between checks and pulls and it paid off.

Fresh perch for bait.
Big crabs looking for fresh food.
The hunt was on from 830-230.

Last week got the 35 limit in 3 hours and four keepers on the 1st pull. Will run some crab clinics soon.
