He is RISEN!! He is RISEN indeed!! What a glorious day!! Happy Easter everyone!

Early Sunday morning several women (Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Joanna, and Salome are all mentioned in the Gospel accounts) went to the tomb and discovered that the large stone covering the tomb's entrance had been rolled away.

An angel announced, "Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen." (Matthew 28:5-6, NLT)

Jesus said in John 11:25, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."

Jesus saved our lives by laying down His own. What amazing love.

Resurrection Sunday's events are recorded in Matthew 28:1-13, Mark 16:1-14, Luke 24:1-49, and John 20:1-23.

A recent study indicated that 28% of Americans make New Years Resolutions. Of those nearly 100 million Americans, 50% resolve to more exercise, 43% say they want to eat healthier, and 37% plan to lose weight. That same study indicated that only 7% of Americans reported that they stuck to their resolutions, and the number one reason for not sticking it out? LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY!

So, what does all this mean? Half of Americans want to get a better handle on their health. Yes, this study indicates physical health, but here at Run for God, we believe that study would show Spiritual Health as well if asked. The Couch to Marathon Challenge starting this January gives you everything you need to get a handle on your health both physically and spiritually, but it also gives you what most people lack, ACCOUNTABILITY AND MOTIVATION.

The question is NOT can you do it? But, rather WILL YOU?
