It’s hard to believe it’s been one month since my book, Teaching K-5 Science: Encouraging Exploration, Inquiry and Problem Solving came out.

My friend said it best at the virtual book launch, she said now the book has entered a new stage, it’s out in the world for people to see.

That comment made it truly feel real- the rest felt like preparation for a surreal moment.

I’m incredibly grateful for some special highlights from the first month.

- Hosted two book launches to celebrate a 3 year journey. Moderated and supported by friends, colleagues, and Latina owned small businesses who truly made it extra special.

- Received recognition as a #1 New Release in 2 Categories

- First 5 Star Review, this teacher’s review could not have made me happier!

- Selected as a required read for a college course for pre-service teachers (one of my goals!)

- Reached educators in 4 states that I know of so far. My goal for year one was 10 states, so I’m on the way!

Thank you to everyone who has shared this book with an elementary educator in your life. Please continue to share.

I’m so grateful to see it reaching the educators it was intended to support.

Gracias!

If you purchased a book, gifted one to an elementary teacher or school, please let me know what state you’re in, in the comments.

I’d truly love to hear how far this book makes it out in the world 🌎 .

This I’m grateful for everyone who helped spread the word, even towards the end of the school year about a new book to help elementary teachers keep joy, creativity and curiosity alive in our elementary classrooms.

We made it to the #1 new release and we’ve sold out of quick ship copies on Amazon!

Please consider purchasing on Bookshop to support local indie bookstores!

Recharge, reset, realign.

I spent the last week after the book launch events trying to be present and take it all in.

Getting my brain to slow back down.

It took quite a while to get there, but I had a small amount of time to catch my breathe 🧘‍♀️.

Today, I’m off to my next adventure ✈️.

Thoughout this week, I’ll be sharing some of the reflections based on the some of the best Q and A I received at my book launches.

👀 I’m curious, what helps you refuel 🚀?

and Claudia Vega for your support providing books for the event and moderating our conversation
