The lil bro just landed in Koh Samui.

No hello.
No unpacking.
No checking into the villa.

Straight to the gym for a pump.

I used to be the Big Dog… but after today I’m not so sure.

What do you reckon boys, has the apprentice officially become the master? 🐶💀

Most people think staying lean while travelling means eating salads, skipping meals and having zero flexibility.

The reality is the opposite.

I actually set my calories slightly lower during the day knowing that some nights we’ll grab dessert. Whether that’s ice cream, mango sticky rice or something local we want to try, it gives me room to enjoy the experience without blowing my calories out.

The other non-negotiable is protein.

Every meal is built around a quality protein source and I’ll almost always get a whey protein isolate shake in somewhere throughout the day to top things up and make sure I’m hitting my protein target.

You’ll also notice that most of my breakfasts and lunches are relatively light, high protein and nutrient dense.

Why?

Because dinner is usually the most flexible meal of the day.

I’d rather keep calories under control earlier and have more freedom at dinner than spend the entire day eating whatever I want and have no room left when we go out for a great meal.

You don’t need to be perfect while travelling.

You just need a structure that allows you to enjoy yourself without coming home 5kg heavier.

Every second headline right now wants you terrified of peppies.

Apparently they’re the biggest threat to humanity this week.

Now don’t get me wrong, quality matters. You should know where anything you’re putting into your body comes from and you should be asking questions.

What I find interesting is how selective people become with their concern.

People will spend hours debating peppies, then think nothing of the ultra-processed food they’re eating every day, the ingredient list on their skincare products, the chemicals they’re exposed to daily or the fact they’re running on four hours sleep and chronic stress.

Everything carries risk.

The problem isn’t asking questions.

The problem is only asking questions when the media tells you to.

I’m not saying don’t question peppies.

I’m saying maybe start asking the same questions about everything else you’re putting into your body too.

10 years ago this was just a vision.

Not the resort. Not the revenue. Not the travel.

The vision was to build something that genuinely changed lives, create an incredible team around us and give our family more freedom in the process.

There were plenty of moments where it would’ve been easier to quit. Plenty of setbacks, mistakes, sleepless nights and lessons learned the hard way.

Today I’m grateful. Grateful for our team, our clients, our mentors and everyone who has supported us along the journey.

We’re nowhere near finished, but it’s important to stop every now and then and appreciate how far you’ve come.

Pretty bloody proud of what we’ve built ❤️
