Our mission is to provide a level of training for our players that will ensure the highest level of social and athletic development and growth.

Our goal is to put together teams that will promote the game of fastpitch softball while creating an environment in which players can reach their full potential and achieve the self-confidence and positive self-esteem necessary to be successful both on and off the field. Tom Gurley, the founder of Black Widow Fastpitch Softball, has created an organization which exists for the specific purpose of developing a competitive youth fast-pitch softball program whose goals are to develop players capable of competing at the highest levels in the country with the demonstrated skills necessary to earn a college scholarship. Our dedicated coaches and volunteer staff facilitate our athlete’s growth by conducting challenging practices and scheduling the highest level of competitive activity available. However, reaching these goals must be accomplished within the proper framework by instilling character, self-esteem, confidence and sportsmanship with the young athlete.

Texas Black Widows 18U Gold and 16U teams are looking for solid committed players. Our organization has a tremendous track record of getting girls into college to continue playing softball. We have a solid base of coaches helping the girls acheive their best performances. Our tryout will be on August the 5th in Krum, Tx from 2pm til 5pm. Black Widows 2029 - 12U is looking for 1-2 more players (2010/2011) to finish up our roster for this season!! We are having an open practice Tuesday, February 28th 6:30-8:30PM. Anyone is welcome, however, we are mainly in need of a pitcher and/or utility player. If interested, please contact head coach Riley Oldham.
