Not the ending we wanted today, but this group battled until the final out against a very strong Tunkhannock team. We are proud of the fight, growth, and heart this team showed all season.
Special shoutout to Elliot Rigol, who delivered a huge solo home run and scored both runs for Dallas, and Alyssa Traver, who added a hit and continued to compete at the plate.
Today also marked the final game for our two seniors, Emma Fostock and Lia Riley. Emma has been a steady part of this program, and we are so grateful for everything she has given to Dallas Softball. Lia’s season changed early when she was injured, but she never stopped showing up for her teammates. She was there every game, supporting, encouraging, and being part of this team in every way she could.
This season was about more than one scoreboard. It was about growth, toughness, loyalty, and taking another step forward as a program. This team had such strong camaraderie, and that bond showed in the way they supported each other through every high and low.
Thank you, Emma and Lia, for everything you gave to Dallas Softball. Once a Mountaineer, always a Mountaineer.
