Slowing down Olympic weightlifting?!? There’s a reason to it⬇️

There’s actually tons of ways to make a core lift hit different. Today I chose to try and control the weight down (eccentrically) as much as possible. Why?

Body awareness
Hypertrophy (size)
Increased heart rate
Sharpened mental focus

3 sets with a kettlebell
20 Upright row
1 Front squat as slow as possible per side
Rest 60 seconds (stick to this)

Chest burn! Got 10 minutes and a band? Give this a go:

4 rounds
3-5 Push ups as slow as you can
Band assisted push ups to failure
Rest 90 seconds

Use the first push ups to focus on control under tension then the second part to squeeze out every bit of power from your upper pushers. Someone can hold a band for the second bit of push ups if you don’t have anchors. Comment if you tried this one out!

5 Bottoms up floor press per arm
Max effort close grip press
90 second rest between sets
