Shyam Tori is a beautiful bhajan that tells the story of Radha wanting to play Krishna's flute. Throughout the song, she tries to convince him that she can be better than him. Radha wishes to trade her head jewelry for his peacock feather, her chunari for his dhoti, and her bangles for his form. She even challenges Krishna to carry multiple pots like the gopikas, eventually breaking one with a stone and laughing mischievously, saying, 'This is what you do, Krishna!' Finally, she dresses him up like herself, smearing makeup on his face and doing his hair. When she steps back, she is stunned by his beauty, despite the ridiculous makeup. In the end, Krishna gives her his flute, but Radha, realizing she cannot be Krishna, holds it close to her heart instead."
