Today was Day 1… and this time, I’m praying it becomes a lifestyle instead of another temporary restart. 🙏🏽💪🏽
I’ve set goals before and didn’t see them through… but I MUST do better while I still can. My health matters. My peace matters. My future matters. And truthfully? I feel my best when I’m showing myself love instead of constantly pouring into everything and everyone else first.
I’m tired of feeling down.
Tired of low energy.
Tired of little pains throughout my body.
Tired of stress eating.
Tired of starting and stopping over and over again.
I MUST break this cycle.
The enemy would love for me to stay discouraged, overwhelmed, distracted, exhausted, and defeated… but I rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name. 🙌🏽
I also realize I cannot keep trying to do this alone. I have to put God FIRST instead of putting everything else before Him and myself. I have to stay grateful that I CAN still get up, move my body, and fight for the life I want.
When my son was at his worst battling for his life, HE became my motivation and inspiration. Watching him fight despite everything changed me. And even now, although he still cannot fully live the life of a typical 25-year-old, he is STILL fighting every single day. 💜
So what excuse do I have to quit on myself?
My sons need me.
I need me.
And I want to lead by example in EVERY area of my life.
John 5:8 says:
“Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.”
And that is exactly what I intend to do.
RISE. 💪🏽
Rise above excuses.
Rise above fear.
Rise above inconsistency.
Rise above stress.
Rise above the lies.
Rise into the best version of Geronica that God created me to be. ✨
After the storm passed today, I got outside and walked 3,000 steps. 🌤️🚶🏽♀️
Then I completed TWO rounds of a 12-exercise circuit:
⏱️ 30 seconds each exercise
⏱️ 10 second rest between exercises
And honestly? It felt GOOD to get my heart rate up and MOVE again. 🖤
Day 1 was a GREAT day.
And this time… I’m not just trying to lose weight.
I’m fighting to gain ME back. 🙏🏽✨
