Theresa is one of those rare people whose creativity shines through in everything she does. A dancer, artist, art teacher, and our Sunday morning Nia instructor, she brings warmth, joy, and generosity to every class.

What I especially love about Theresa is that she teaches from a place of giving. Her classes are never about the instructor—they're about the people in the room. She has a beautiful way of helping everyone feel seen, encouraged, and free to move in a way that feels authentic.

While we won't say how old Theresa is, we will share that this birthday is a BIG ONE! she is living proof that age has very little to do with energy, creativity, or spirit. ✨

🧘 Help Us Choose MoveStudio's Next Yoga Instructor!

At MoveStudio, our instructors are one of the things that make us special. That's why we're inviting YOU to be part of the hiring process!

Over the next several weeks, instructor candidates will be teaching our Saturday 10:15 AM yoga class as part of their audition. This is your opportunity to experience their teaching style firsthand and help us select the instructor who will become part of the MoveStudio family.

We're looking for more than someone who can demonstrate poses and tell you what to do. We want a teacher who connects with our community, offers thoughtful modifications, provides individualized feedback, teaches with confidence and compassion, and creates a welcoming, supportive environment for every student.

After each audition class, everyone who attended in person will receive a short survey asking for your feedback. Your input will play an important role in our decision.

If you enjoy yoga—or have been thinking about trying it—this is a wonderful opportunity to experience different teaching styles while helping shape the future of MoveStudio's yoga program.

🧘 North Dallas Area Yoga Teachers – We're Hiring!

MoveStudio in North Dallas is holding auditions for an experienced yoga instructor to teach a permanent weekly Saturday morning class (10:15–11:30 AM).

We're looking for an instructor who:
🧘 Has at least 3 years of verifiable yoga teaching experience
🧘 Has a well-established personal yoga practice (typically 10+ years)
🧘 Is confident offering individual feedback, alignment cues, hands-on assists (with consent), and appropriate modifications
🧘 Can safely teach students of varying ages, abilities, and mobility levels
🧘 Is comfortable incorporating pranayama, meditation, traditional yoga principles, and appropriate Sanskrit terminology into an approachable class
🧘 Creates a welcoming, professional, and respectful class environment

➡️ Iyengar training or another alignment-based background is highly desirable.

At MoveStudio, we believe yoga is about far more than just moving through poses. Our clients—primarily women 40+—come to improve mobility, balance, strength, reduce stress, and build resilience for everyday life. While many begin practicing for the physical benefits, we believe yoga also offers valuable tools that extend beyond the mat.

We're looking for a teacher who values thoughtful alignment, intelligent sequencing, and individualized instruction while integrating the broader traditions of yoga into an accessible, welcoming practice. We want students to leave not only moving better, but feeling more centered, present, and connected. If you believe yoga is a lifelong practice that supports both body and mind, we'd love to meet you.

Position Details:
• Permanent weekly class: Saturdays, 10:15–11:30 AM
• Starting pay: $40 per class
• Complimentary MoveStudio Instructor Membership, including unlimited classes and infrared sauna access
• Opportunity to grow with MoveStudio through substitute teaching, additional weekly classes, workshops, and specialty programs

✨ Aging is not a diagnosis.

Somewhere along the way, we started treating completely normal biological changes—wrinkles, gray hair, changing skin, changing bodies—as if they were medical conditions that needed to be corrected. Meanwhile, the anti-aging industry has built a business worth hundreds of billions of dollars by convincing women that growing older is something to fear.

But let's look at it another way.

Every laugh line tells a story. 💜 Every gray hair represents time you were fortunate enough to have. Every year brings wisdom, resilience, and experiences your younger self couldn't have imagined.

At MoveStudio, we're not interested in helping women chase a younger version of themselves. We're interested in helping them become the strongest, most energetic, and most confident version of themselves—at every age. 💪 Yes, it's okay to want to look your best. But real confidence comes from moving through life with strength, standing a little taller, sleeping better, having the energy to say "yes" to the things you love, and trusting your body instead of fighting it.

Please join us in welcoming Jill Frankel to the MoveStudio teaching team! 💜

Jill is a Level 2 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Yoga Alliance RYT-500 who has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 30 years. She fell in love with Iyengar yoga in 1992, drawn to its emphasis on precise alignment and the sense of harmony it brought to her body. Over time, she discovered that the practice also cultivated greater focus, balance, and calm in everyday life.

Jill's teaching reflects the Iyengar method, emphasizing proper alignment, thoughtful sequencing, and the use of props to make yoga safe, accessible, and beneficial for every body. She has a gift for helping students meet their individual goals, wherever they are in their practice.

You'll begin seeing Jill around the studio as she subs a variety of upcoming classes. When you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, be sure to introduce yourself and give her a warm MoveStudio welcome!
