Brand new WHOAH Diva Cup made its glorious debut at the 2026 Oil Kings Memorial Day Shoot Out this past weekend! Our Cup shined next to the Summer Pils Cup banner presented to the Team WHOAH after their win in shootout!

Diva Cup is our trophy awarded to the best players after each WHOAH drop-in game, and the first player receiving this brand new version of the Cup at the Memorial Day tournament was Kenzie Klima. Kenzie's goal in shootout was the game winning shot!

Proceeds from the Puck'n Crawfish fundraiser organized by Hockey Players In Business- Houston Chapter will benefit WHOAH and HTX Storm Girls Hockey.

2026 Oil Kings Memorial Day Shoot Out is tomorrow!

WHOAH cleaning and decorating crew got together this evening at the Sugar Land rink to set up the WHOAH Welcome Booth and to transform ordinary locker rooms into a welcoming space for 10 women's teams playing in the tournament this weekend.

♥Thank you to all volunteers who came out tonight, rolled their sleeves and got to work!
Just look what we have done!

We cannot wait to welcome all women's teams tomorrow and greet all tournament players and guests!

Stop by our booth any time during the tournament to chat with us and learn about women's hockey in Houston and some great upcoming events and tournaments for women who play hockey (or even want to try it out for the first time)!

10 women's teams will be competing in the tournament:
8 teams in Rec 5 division, including our own Team WHOAH (Lets Go, WHOAH!)
2 teams in Rec 4 / Tier 1 (all-women teams playing in co-ed division!)

Come on out, cheer for these ladies and support women's hockey!
Stop by the WHOAH Welcome booth at Sugar Land rink Friday through Sunday, chat with us, learn about women's hockey in Houston and our great upcoming events (women's league, clinics, tournaments, and more)!

All Rec 5 women's games at Sugar Land will be accompanied by some special treats organized by WHOAH, the Ambassador for Women's Teams at the Memorial Day Shootout!
Friday games - Ice Lads!
Saturday games - between period entertainment (games, mini-competitions)!
Sunday championship games - limited edition T-shirt toss!

We cannot wait to see all the players, fans, guests gathering at the rinks for hockey and cheers!

WHOAH had a great skate on Saturday and we have the pictures to prove it! We changed it up a little bit and introduced a 15 minute mini clinic put on by Coaches R.C., Claudia, and Ti and proceeded with a game. Lots of learning, socializing, and community building was done!

Our Diva Cup recipients were the only goal scorers of the game and they both had an incredible skate! Congrats to Kerri Blanc and Micah Mitchell 🤩✨💛

Next weekend is the Memorial Day Tournament and we are very excited to welcome our sister teams to the Houston hockey community and to take part in a friendly competition! We will post the schedule of all the women’s games as well as a WHOAH specific schedule so please keep an eye out for that! We would love your support for all of the women’s games whether you know the players or not! May the best women win! 🏆

WHOAH Diva Cup Reveal at Oil Kings Memorial Day Shoot Out!!!

Diva Cup is our beloved trophy awarded to the best player(s) after each WHOAH drop-in game. But as you can see, our original Cup needed a major makeover.
WHOAH member Sami Ferrigno and her husband Nick, both certified welders, graciously offered their skills to work on the Diva Cup remake!

The New Diva Cup reveal will take place on Sunday, May 24, at Sugar Land rink when Team WHOAH will play their Championship game (time and the opponent will be determined based on the Team WHOAH standings).
Come to the rink on Sunday and celebrate with WHOAH!
We cannot wait to see our new, shiny, gorgeous Diva Cup!
