Some familiar faces make the Y feel like home, and Monica is one of them! 💙

A lifelong Dallasite and longtime member of the White Rock YMCA family, Monica has been teaching aqua fitness for decades, dating back to our Worth Street location. Through moves, milestones, and generations of members, her passion for teaching and love for her class have never changed.

Starting next week, our 3v3 Girls Basketball League is the perfect place to build skills, gain confidence, and have fun with teammates. Practices are held twice each week, and all practices and games take place at the Park South YMCA. Who's joining the team this season?

With the weather warming up, we know you're going to heading to the pools, lakes, or ocean this summer! We want you to be able to enjoy and have fun, but we have six water safety tips that will help you keep you and your child safe:

1️⃣ Make sure children know to always ask permission before going in or near the water.
2️⃣ Never swim alone without a Water Watcher.
3️⃣ Supervise your children whenever they’re in or near water.
4️⃣ Don’t engage in breath-holding activities.
5️⃣ Inexperienced or non-swimmers should wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
6️⃣ Don’t jump in the water to save a friend who is struggling in deep water.

Registration opens TODAY for the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot, presented by Texas Health! Join thousands of runners and walkers as they fill the streets of Downtown Dallas for our 59th year on Thursday, November 26. Not only can you Trot, but you and your family can enjoy exciting new attractions, including an AstroTurf soccer field where kids can practice their soccer skills, an expanded petting zoo, and beloved traditions like the Diaper Dash and Costume Contest. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
