40 y.o.- healthier, stronger, and fitter than I’ve ever been.

Few things came into play I repaired my metabolism. I chose to walk away from people who kept my nervous system in survival mode.

At 38/39, I survived heartbreak. Emotional cheating cuts deeper than physical, at least it did for me. I was discarded, labeled “hard to deal with,” gaslight and on top of that dealing with being robbed, betrayed in business, and let down by friends I trusted. My cortisol? Through the roof.

But I made a choice.

I chose to alchemize the pain instead of becoming it.

I kept showing up.
I kept following the plan.
I stayed committed to my goals.
I grounded myself.
I protected my peace.
I weeded out the snakes.
I stood on business.
I worked when it was hard to show up.
I nourished my body when i wanted to emotionally binge
I explored peptide therapy even though i was skeptical
I leaned into breathwork, energy healing, and doing the inner work even though i felt disconnected from source

Healing wasn’t one thing. It was hundreds of small decisions made consistently.

Now at 40, I can honestly say I feel happier. Lighter. More regulated. More at peace than I’ve felt in years even though the path is unclear.

Do I have it all figured out? Absolutely not.

But I’ve reached a place of radical acceptance. I no longer chase what isn’t meant for me. I lean into what is.

If you’re struggling with your health, your nervous system, your confidence, or you’re trying to rebuild after life knocked you down…

I want you to know there’s another side to this.

And I’d be honored to help you get there.

Do it alone
Do it heart broken
Do it with dead airpods 😂
Do it hungover

Just do it no matter what limiting voice in your head says.

⚡️How I shaved 6 minutes off my mile in one year⚡️🚀

Still can’t believe last year I was averaging 13–14 minute miles… and if I even tried to run under an 11-minute pace my heart rate was literally living in Zone 5 😅

I didn’t magically become a runner overnight.

I built my engine brick by brick 🧱🔥

Here’s the sauce 👇🏽

1️⃣ I started running with a community
Joining my gym run club changed everything. Accountability, motivation, and people pushing beside you hits different.

2️⃣ I embraced the “boring” runs
Those long Zone 2/3 runs nobody wants to do? That’s where the engine gets built.

3️⃣ I added intervals
Want to get faster? You have to practice being faster. Speed work changed the game.

4️⃣ HYROX training 🔥
HYROX at Focused 1–2x per week kept building my strength, endurance, and ability to perform under fatigue. Never skip the engine work.

5️⃣ Hydration 💧
I used to be chronically dehydrated and would get awful spasms during strenuous runs. Now? I chug water like it’s my job every morning 😂

6️⃣ Proper warm ups + recovery
Keeping my muscles ready helped me avoid those spasms and stay consistent without getting knocked out by injuries.

7️⃣ Keep chasing bigger goals
Every time I hit one goal… I set another.

7:40/mile pace — I’m coming for you 👀🔥

No limits. Just proof that consistency compounds.

Mama I made it… I’m officially on the HYROX website 🥹🖤💛

Last year in March 2025, after having to pivot away from CrossFit, rebuild, and trust the next chapter… Focused Gainz Fitness became an official HYROX affiliated training facility.

What started as another challenge became a new mission , helping people discover what they are truly capable of.

Today I can proudly say I am a Certified HYROX Conditioning Coach, Hybrid Athlete, and owner of a community built around strength, endurance, mindset, and becoming the best version of yourself.

My focus is simple:
Build better Hybrod athletes. ⚡️
