I look up at the clouds often. They can appear big and fluffy, then and scattered, or become diverse in size shape and color denoting the rising or setting of the sun. The can also become dark and ominous twisting the very nature of the ground or ocean. Some things must be destroyed, so that we can come back and build them together as a global community. Then together we decide what things are worth rebuilding. The decisions will be an ongoing process. The sacrifice, commitment, compromises, creativity, innovation, exploration, humility, discovery, reconciliation, dedication, evaluation, and revelation bring us all to one table. How we receive and react to the storms and sun showers is our day and night. Growth in nature oftentimes demands rain. Our very lives are dependent on it. We must have what some consider a food chain or hierarchy. However, that greatly devalues the importance of the of every living organism that sustains our world. This also fails to value all the deaths that allow for decomposition and fertilizer for seasons to come. Though we might feel as though we are standing on solid ground, the tectonic shifts are constantly in motion. The speed in which mother earth spins is variant on longitude and latitude line upon the axis. This also determines various terrestrial elements, climates, and ecosystems that give birth to our many civilizations and cultures now respectively. This rich diversity is far beyond one nation or continent for that matter. It extends beyond generations and is an ever plentiful harvest. Some fruits of our labor may be sweet and others bitter, but the vastness of it all sustains. It is summer in one region and winter in another. It is day on one continent and night in another. We celebrate a new year using various calendars and while some see fireworks, some await under a starry night till dawn. Depending on what Kingdom "we" fall under (Archaebacteria, Eubacteria, Fungi, Protista, Plants and Animals), "our" rhythms are precise, yet beautifully harmonious. A heavenly feast in which nothing compares!
