To our dance families,
Too many times over the years I have had to write about a former student who passed away as a young adult and these things are never easy to do. Today, this hits even harder to write about the loss of a child and current student as well as her entire family.
10 year old Layla, Mom Sandra, Dad Pete and brother Noah were all taken from us way too soon in a tragic auto accident yesterday morning. Kris and I and our entire staff are devastated and heart broken.
Layla came to us 2 years ago from Tunkhannock when the previous dance school she attended closed. She was a gem from day one, jumping right in and made new friends quickly. She took classes in tap, ballet & hip hop and all of her instructors adored her. She was always eager to learn and rarely missed a class. Mom & Dad were always in the waiting room each week and we all knew them well. Our Thursday night classes will certainly have a large void this season both in the dance room and the waiting room.
I also want to express our deepest sympathies to her cousin Skylar and her Aunt Jenn. Please know that you both are in our thoughts.
Layla was daughter, a sister, a cousin and a friend- we knew her as a beautiful dancer and will miss her always.
We love you Layla. ❤️
